it looks OEM, just upside down. Maybe something to do with connections to his new speedo.

...It's because my control unit will hit the tank otherwise. With this dragbar I had no other option. I use the original risers. To install the bar as flat as possibel I had to turn the control unit a bit to get some more millimeters... It's no problem when you used to it. |

I bent the throttle stop out of the way and gained 1/4" more of throttle. Now the true test comes when I ride it next and see if I can actually tell a difference or not.

i bought the swing wing pegs.. they work great.. but there not staying chrome off to the the powdercoating.. gloss black. they dont go with the bike being chrome and stand out right now helps get my leg away from the heat off the turbo and stretch my legs comfortably Last edited by The Dark Knight; 07-21-2009 at 08:16 PM. |

I installed the riser spacers tonight. I really like the riding position. An extra bonus is that it will be easier to remove the tank from now on. The extra clearance allows you to lift the tank higher in order to get to the fuel line and electrical connectors. There is a little bit of a mismatch between the stock riser profile and the spacer profile. Not much, but it is noticeable if you run your finger along the surface. I know, I know; nitpicking. Huge thanks go out to Jeff and Ken for doing these things. Warning!! Do not overtighten the bolts. I ended up not paying enough attention to the well thought out instructions and I stripped the stock right-hand riser. Tough lesson learned, but learned just the same. I also debaffled and added a 6" fibrosleeve. I haven't demickeyed yet because there's no going back once it's knocked out. I figured I'd see what I think about debaffled & sleeved before doing the demickey. I also found a 2" pvc pipe to be too big for insertion on my 2007 M50. I ended up wrapping the packing and mesh around one of the removed baffles to begin the insertion. After inserting it to the point where the end of the sleeve was just shy of where the first plate was, I used the 2" pvc to finish inserting it the rest of the way.

Rode over to campus to help an undergrad with a project. Walk out and its raining. I always get caught in the rain leaving campus. I already had it in my head, so I still stopped to Panera for dinner. Lesson to me....dont go to campus so much.

Yeah they are... I've been torn about mine too. They do match up with the freeway bars, but I'm thinking when I have the gumption I'll look around for a set of stirrups instead. I think they'll fit the M50 profile better.
