Put my rain suit on and drove to work at 7:30am. ( Stop putting your bikes away because of a little rain! you won't melt! ). Tonight I will begin the tedious process of cleaning the bike after a 1600KM trip... uyhhhhhg, thats a lot of bug guts.

Pretty much the same here, except I just made sure the rain suit was packed as it wasn't raining in the morning but 30% chance for the afternoon. Looks dry for the ride home. Might have set a new record, 7 (ride to work) days straight without getting wet. Then again I may have gotten wet early last week, I don't remember. If there is strong chance of thunderstorms and downpour I won't ride, but I'll ride through the rain as necessary and certainly on the "chance" days.

If I didn't ride on chance days, I would have missed some gourgous weather, the weather people around here seem to think that 30% or greater means its going to rain. Chance of rain everyday for the last week, rained once, for about an hour in the middle of my workday, at the cafeteria and was set to ride home.

Back on Topic

Well, yesterday I installed a new Silverstar bulb and readjusted my headlamp so it wasn't trying to light up the bottom of the potholes I was hitting cause I couldn't see them until it was too late, now it lights up the road. Been working on my custom radiator cover, slow going with a dremel, jig saws are apparently to violent for thin sheet metal...oops. Starting to come together now, drove around today looking for that mesh the tuner kids use in their grills, trying to avoid paying shipping, so far unsuccessful.

Default Poker Run

Rode with approx. 30 other bikers on local poker run benefit ride. Guy had died a couple months ago on his bike. He just lost control of his bike and hit a tree, wasn't speeding or drinking. They think that he was fumbling with his cell phone at the time. Left a wife and I believe a couple of kids...no life insurance. Proceeds went to help out the family. Guys make sure that you have a plan to take care of your wife and kids if the unthinkable happens you. It's the only responsible thing to do!

The wife and I got soaked during a real gully washer today. She was on her S40. We were absolutely soaked and laughed our butts off when we got home. It was her first ride in the rain and it was storming bad. She did great. We had to get home to pick the son up from football camp this afternoon.

Got up this morning and painted my saddlebag supports black, then installed the supports and my saddlemen throwovers. A few hrs later I stuffed my dinner and rain gear (just in case) in my new bags and rode to work.

No, planing on leaving it, I have a black and silver bike. If I change my mind, I'll find some high temp and go to town. Going to back it or illuminate it with LEDs, in addition to other parts of the bike.

I drilled 4 X 3/8" holes in each pipe. sounds better but thinking either bigger or more holes.

May I suggest this?

I drilled 8- 3/8" holes in each pipe, I sound was decent, just not loud enough. Give that a try.

Rode the M50 in the Poker run at the Rough Rider Rally in Las Vegas New Mexico yesterday. Fun ride, didn't get a good hand, all I drew was a pair of nines.

Messed around with some wiring last night and decided I am not going to switch over to the HD yet. I just love the way the M looks and fits. HD is just gonna have to wait.
