Did what would have to be the easiest mod ever. Raised the headlight a bit with some fat stainless mudguard washers under the bracket. Looks good, makes the forks look longer & the bars look lower !!

I didn't think such a minor mod needed pics. I still need to buy some longer M8 bolts to raise it a bit higher.

Rode to work this morning

It's about 50 km round trip - long enough to clear my head.

Just noticed one thing, when I get to 1 bar on the fuel gauge, coming to a stop causes fuel starvation which almost stalls the bike. It's a great reminder about needing fuel, but I would have thought that would only happen about the time the 1 bar starts flashing. Anyways a nice 'feature'.

Cheers

Mine is in regular daily use (well time share with the Divvy - but you know what I mean) and when mine gets down to the flashing bar (even after several miles) I don't get the symptoms you describe.

Methinks maybe somethings not quite right there......

Baltimore and most of Maryland has been pretty sweet to ride for the last couple of days...Put on some Meguire's and Black Magic and rode around...to and from work and might try to get to Gettysburg this weekend...

I checked my Lindby bars to see how badly I scraped the chrome off the left one, when cornering hard on the way to Bike Night last night. It isn't too bad, but a rough inch and a half on the bottom corner now. That was very different than scraping pegs, which bump up and down on the springs, the Lindbys don't give at all and make a terrible noise (even though I have a hearing loss, wearing a full face helmet with the bike noise it was LOUD.)

I ordered some clamps to attach driving lights to the Lindby bars and a brake pedal cover. The cover is in transit and the clamps are on back order

Got is stripped down for more painting. You can see the pieces that are already painted, all the side covers, and that is what the whole thing will look like soon. It's not flat. It's more satin. When I'm done, I going to do gloss black stripes down it with very thin red stripes around the black.

Changed the gear oil this morning. Didn't take the 7oz like the manual says, only took about 4 oz.

Bought a new Corbin solo seat with stitched leather black seat and black welts and silver carbon fiber side panels and oh boy does this ever look good and match my yellow and black (with charcoal) special edition pinstriping. I am more than pleased.
Corbin is just good product. My second corbin on an M50.
Then I put a Kuryakyn brake pedal cover on and spike bolts in the speedo and fuel nacelle and made a custom over for the rear fender bolt and put Show Chrome grips on.
I'll get some photos of Bumble Bee and post soon with details.

Installed riser/spacers and took a little test ride. I'm gonna need more pullback.

Did you put different bars on ? I added the spacers and put on drag bars, and it's perfect for me.

Stock bars with risers. From what I've read, the stock bars are 10.5" pullback. I don't think the risers add more than 3/4", but I didn't take any measurements. Figure I probably need total 12-13" pullback. I want to be able to sit more upright - don't want to be in the forward aggressive position all the time. Kills my lats and lower back.

Don't know if you already saw this, but here is a list of stock bar dimensions. You can look for another 1" bar that may work. If you can find takeoffs, it may be much cheaper.

Stock Motorcycle Handlebar Measurements
