Now debaffled, and itchy from a fibrosleeve attempt, didn't work out so well.. I used to think I was mechanically inclined, M50 is proving me wrong.. I'll kill mickey as soon as I find an appropriate pipe.. by the way, the second pipe, using the right hole saw, took 15 minutes, the one with only the 3 inch, 3 hours of work, followed by a day of riding and then another 10 minutes of work. Edit- Got the fibrosleeve in, leaving mickey alone for now, sounds great, my issue was a small burr on the inside on the pipes, a little dremel work and done.

i bought new lights at good old canadian tire to replace my crappy $20 ones.. they take H3 bulbs (easy to replace if they burn out) and they are black with blue lense cover... they look pretty sweet but they are REALLY bright... almost as bright as my PIAA 1100x set...

today i don't think i'm gonna ride... thunderstorms and rain... normally this wouldn't stop me but i'm taking off on the bike in a few weeks and i don't want soaked gear and a chance of wiping out right before my trip!

Drilled 4 3/8" holes in each pipe, then my brother talked me into making one of those holes a 3/4" hole in each pipe. Liking the sound but will probably just debaffle when I get back to work Monday.

I put my back rest back on. Suzuki I find I get some back strain on my long commute because I tend to slouch. This will take care of it.

Put the windshield back on today as I have been taking the freeway home from work more lately because it's too dang hot to be sitting at traffic lights with a jacket and full face helmet. Tried adusting on it some more to reduce buffetting but ended up back where I started. I guess I had dialed in best as possible last year. It's a 21" Big Shot and works best for me with the brackets as low as they can go on the forks and the shield tilted back. It just causes a bit of vibration on my helmet but doesn't rattle my teeth like it did in other positions. Last edited by Michigunman; 07-20-2008 at 04:58 PM. Reason: pic |
