I got the skull tank graphic put on. It's actually reflective and lights up at night.

I installed the need speedo face (bad picture lighting - sorry)

Then I put on the large Kury footpegs. There a little longer than stock and actually feel really good under your feet.

-------------------------------

I also got my new tires in so next week I'll have them put on. Then it will be time for some serious riding!

What I did to my M50 today is decide to keep it. I've been entertaining the idea of trading it in on a Honda VTX1300/1800, but I've read so much about them and other bikes I just said what the hell, I'll just fix it up. Ordered new tires, K&N air filter, got the Rotella and filter for the oil change, gonna get new plugs and adjust the valves. Hopefully in a couple months I'm gonna get the 2½" HK straights in black and a new seat. I ride around 50 miles a day to work and back.

Anyways, that's what I did.

4k service and washed her. I pulled my Sissy bar and Saddle bag brackets off.. Both need new paint. On the upside, the bike looks a lot better without massive amount of green with none up front, looks a lot more balanced. I can't find my charger for my camera, but i'll get pictures up as soon as I can.

I am the new owner (3 weeks) of a 2005 M50.....the bike only had 1950 miles on it.....I am leaning toward servicing it????>.......I would think they did the first service and it is way too early for the 4000. service...Just read Tigger1985's post and made me think on it.....

do I wait?....or go ahead and change the oil and filter?

Please advise.

1950 miles on a 4yr old bike, yeah pay the $30 for the oil & filter and change it yourself just to be safe. 3.8 quarts of oil (don't use synthetic yet) and a filter from your local dealer.

I appreciate it. Your gonna love the bike. You found one that hasn't been ridden yet, it's barely broken in. That bikes screaming "ride me dammit", don't let her down!

FINALLY got out on a ride last weekend (have been too busy to write before now). We had unseasonably warm weather (80+) after having 6" of snow
only 5 days prior. Anyway, we live about 30 miles from the Blue Ridge Pkwy in southwest VA near Roanoke. Took the pkwy and other backroads up to the Natural Bridge area. Had lunch. Took other backroads and pkwy again on the way home. All in all an enjoyable 175 miles. Shoulder muscles were a bit sore but that's to be expected when you have to just watch your bike in the garage for the months of winter. Come on warmer temps!!

I got the green light from the wife to put a good deal of funds into the M. A mustang seat will be added shortly as well as a DJ drive. I also have a new found enthusiasm to locate a set of upgraded cams. I doubt I will find any but I want them bad.

I was thinking about painting the engine covers black, and then using brake caliper pant on the raised portions of the cooling fins, says it doesn't effect cooling, and will go a long way to pulling taking out all the chrome... I'm not a fan of (silver) chrome.

I really like my ISO pegs, they look and feel much better than stock. What kind of tires are you getting? I'm looking at Metzelers 880.

I rode her!

The weather has gotten better, and although it was under 30 this morning it should be nearly 50 this afternoon...so I rode her to work.

The new Big Shot windscreen needed a bit of adjustment (was lopsided) but really works well to block most of the stuff coming at me (wind, rocks, bugs) I think I like it.

However, since I did install it myself...I fully expect it to fly off any day now.

I got the Wild Flares again. I purchased them here http://www.motorcycle-journal.com/fo...-go-why-4.html

They came in last week. I'd like to get them mounted on Saturday.

Transferred fibrosleeve from the chrome pipes that live under my bed to the blacked out pipes on the bike.. Also found the screws to my front fender, so I reinstalled my front fender, got tired of riding in my own roostertail and constantly cleaning mud and road grime off my head light.

I looked at that same graphic last year, but changed my mind. It looks really good. Are the numbers on the Speedo face moved - meaning are they recalibrated to match the actual speed ?
