I went to the local fastener supplier and had to get 2 that were about an inch longer...if they have stainless get them, I didn't and will need to replace them this spring because they rusted.
Well that's stupid!!! I'll see if they ship me the right length bolt or not. If I'm ordering the 1-1/2" extensions they should know what bolt to send. But that would require them to "think" which is probably asking to much I know.

Thanks for the heads up!

Moved Maggie out of the way so the RotoRooter guy could get pasted and into the back yard. I may go for a short ride here in a little bit.

Ordered 8x1.25 100mm long stainless steel bolts, to mount the k-drive bags, the bolts they sent would of worked , if I didnt have the back rest, But, since I do, they were to short....

Yeah tell me about it !! Let me know how you like the new set up. I drag a lot in tight corners but I LIKE that ( just wished i had titanium inserts for a light show). The extra width makes it a very comfortable ride.

Dreamed about her....I'm still in Key Biscayne, she's still in Florida. If I'd know I was going to be down here this long, I would've rode!

Took a nice ride out on the Creole Nature Trail today. It was a little windy today, but the temp was nice around 62. When I left the house I had made my mind up that I was going to ride the whole trail, with the ferry ride and all, but I got a little tied up out by the Gibbstown bridge. I took a camera along with me so I got a few chances to take some pictures. Here are a few.

This guy wouldn't come out of the water enough for me to get a really good shot of him, but his head was at least double the size of the last one, so my deduction puts him at 8' to 10'.

I tried getting pics of the turtles for a while, but everytime I would get close enough to get a nice shot they would slide off into the water. I ended up with just this slow guy.
what-did-you-do-your-m50-today-sdc10091.jpg
This is my favorite. He was about 6' long, and I actually was trying to get a better shot of the one in the water when I came upon him.

Put on new Phat performance sickle mirrors and put my speedometer on my tank cover. I cut ALL the plastic off the back of the speedo, then used tape and cardboard to make a form in the shape that I wanted that would fit my tank cover, filled it with epoxy, sanded for days, and painted it black. Now I have a speedo like none other I had to do this because I put new 1.5" drag bars on, so it wouldn't fit anymore. I also couldn't afford a 400.00 new one. 10.00 and it looks factory. I'll try to get pics soon. It's always 12:00 pm by the time I finish homework, so I hardly get on it these days.

Tomorrow I change the oil and filters and put on a vista cruise.

Soon to come: All kinds of black!!!! I just don't know who to do it yet. I'm searching, but having trouble figuring out exactly what to do. I'm blacking out turn signals, headlight, tank cover, side rails, air box, pill box (until I depair), and the sissy bar. And...John's forward controls....I think Still not sure about them. Are they worth it?

cchriste: Well that's different. Kudo's for tackling it! I think you may have a one of a kind speedo setup. It doesn't look to bad at all. How do you like it?

It's very nice. It's still at the right angle for viewing. It's perfect. I hate the look of it on the bars, so this was exactly what I needed. I had to use about 15 tubes of epoxy to make the sides of the speedo and shape it to look somewhat factory. Then I hat to cut the top lid on the sides so it would clear when I turned. It was a hassle, but it was a blast doing it. I wish I had taken pics of the process, but I didn't. It was a LOT harder than it sounds, but it was fun.

Well thankfully the rain stopped a few hours before I got off work, so I didn't have to ride in the rain.

I put on the metz 200 myself including the mounting it to the rim.
Haven't gotten to ride it yet though.
