Moto started it.

I predict that in the next 5yrs everything we say will be in "text messaging" talk. Could really make for some serious misunderstandings!

I know a lady that literally says out loud to you in person, OMG & LMAO...etc. in her everyday speech. Scary stuff man.

I hope people don't start talking like that. I can't stand it. I don't text much and don't spend time on instant messenger so half the time I don't know what in the world they're saying.

I hope not either, but I'm afraid it's going to happen. Especially with the new generation of kids growing up with cell phones & text messaging as part of their culture.

Baker: What's the biggest difference between the M or C 50 mirrors? What's the dimension difference? Now that you have them on do you really like them better?

Looked at it as I left for work. It's going to be 20 again today and I can't take the bike when I'm on days, Danm.
An M50 passed me on the north bound 427 just above the 401 at 8:50am. He had stock pipes and I only heard him for a split second as he passed me. I love my drilled pipes.

The weather was pretty nice here today, so I decided to take a ride on the Creole Nature Trail. Parts of it are still closed from the flooding of Hurricane Ike, but it was still a good ride.

After work got together with some guys to go riding, both of them on harleys. Cruising down the road and hear thunk, thunk, bam and then the lead rider runs over some metal object. We stop, look and find that it was his sprocket. So we now have a dead harley at the side of the road, we are 30 minutes away from his house where his truck is. He needs a ride, the other guy doesnt want to take him because his back tire is about shot, so me beeing the nice guy I am get to take the guy to his house. Now imagine this picture, Im a realtivily skinny guy, im 5'10" and 150lbs, this guy is about 6' and about 250lbs. He is no little guy, so imagine that site, seeing big guy and skinny guy cruising down the road on little M50. Bike actually handled pretty good though. We got his bike back home and somehow the sprocket self destructed, took out the rim to, so he now needs sprocket, rim and tire (its about shot).

So the original ride turned into something completely differant and got to see what the bike can handle weight wise, agian I was impressed by it

The M mirrors are a 5 1/2x3 rectangle. The C mirrors are 5 3/4 long and are teardrop shaped, so they're 2 1/4 at the inside and 3 1/4 at the outside. I like the shape of them on the bike a whole lot better. Today was the first I'd ridden with them, so I'm getting used to having a different shape when I'm looking, but after a couple weeks I'm sure the "newness" of it will be gone. There isn't anything that is square on our bikes, so I feel like they fit a whole lot better. Overall, I'm happy with the decision.

HA HA HA HA!!!!! That is hilarious. I can picture it. HA HA HA

As for the forum topic. I did nothing to the bike. No wait, I moved it to a different parking spot. I also checked the mail for my PCIII. It's been a week now and still haven't got it.

Also, bought a new vehicle. It's a 03' toyota highlander. I'll post some pics. I'll be doing some small mods, so I will keep you all updated.

Default Sunday: Started out great, ended badly

I went on a big ride on Sunday the 2nd. About 200+ bikes, it was the annual kick-off Toy Run for Christmas.

The ride was awesome, my M50 ran so smooth, even though the temperature that morning was around 34 degrees.

On the way back home, I was entering the highway and on the ramp I ended up hitting a rut and it bounced me off to the left and into the loose sand near the curb.
The bike slid out hard and I went down.

I have some road rash, especially on my right knee and a sore ankle, but there was hardly any damage to the bike except for the headlight/turn signal, brake pedal was bent up and the right hand mirror broke off.

My saddlebages saved the back end from any major damage and my leg saved the rest. LOL

Anyway, I'll heal up fine, I already ordered the new parts to replace what is broken and after taking it for a ride today, it seems to be fine with no issues.
One tough bike.

I think while I have it apart, I'm going to do some customizing, I want to put a different rear fender on, I was wondering if the rear fender off of a C50 would fit...... Anyone know?

Thanks in advance and I'm glad I found this forum!

Ride safe.

Tuesday early AM me and a friend ran down to Waxahachie, TX for a Blue Knight/PGR WWII Vet escort to Dallas Love Field. They're trying to get as many WWII vets out to the WWII Memorial in D.C. as they can before they're all gone. We're loosing about 1,200 a day they say. It was 57 miles there, about 40 from Waxahachie to Dallas Love and no sure how many home but total trip was somewhere between 130 - 140 miles. My friend's a Blue Knight and I'm a PGR member. Once we got down there we talked to one vet for a few minutes. We turned our back for a second and turned back to him and he had collapsed, the ambulance was called but it turned out he was OK. It might have been just too much excitement but he decided to not go unfortunately. The LEO escort was an abomination. He was doing 70 all the way up I-35E, even through the construction and Downtown Dallas. Plus he kept on changing lanes. We had bikes all over the road because of all the cars breaking through our escort. Too many lane changes + too fast = not a fun escort ride. There was a lot of speculation as to how it should have been but I said we should have limited our speed to between 50 and 60 and remain in one lane with LEO in front and back but we only had one in front. But once we got there it became real fun. We all cheered as each and every vet got off the bus and entered the terminal. This was my first escort mission and I don't usually ride with a lot of people so I was kind of leery. I really have to trust someone to be able to ride comfortably with them, like my friend Bernie. We can ride so close we could spit on each other's bikes and I'm comfortable because I know he won't do anything stupid and he knows I won't either. Riding at 70 mph with a group of people you don't know is scary as hell to me.

I bought 10X15" flags, one American Flag and one Texas flag, with 13" poles to replace the smaller ones (6X9 flags with 9" poles) on the back of the M50. Pictures coming tomorrow (before and after) when I put them on.
