Washed/Waxed it, then rode to work. Now waiting to get off work to take a nice long ride.

I took a 180 mile ride. 60 miles on Interstate 5 which is the main freeway running north and south thru California. It is a bit intimanating for a beginning rider, because you have to be confortable cruising at 75mph and passing big rigs at 85. The traffic will run you over if you are to slow. I thought I did pretty well. My next big test is to get into some rush hour traffic on the freeway. I'll have to go down to L.A. for that, it's rush hour 24-7 down there.

Rode with PurpleHaze about 400 miles in North Georgia & North Carolina. Stopped in Helen, GA on the way back down and grapped some grubb at a little Bavarian Biker Joint. All in all a good day!

Today I moved my license plate up a few inches, in place of where that red reflector is. It's a temporary look until I can get a side mount. Not a whole lot of difference but it cleans it up a little and gets rid of that ugly red reflector. I will take a few more pictures tomorrow on the light and post a how-to on how I did it. Not too hard and it only took about 1 hour (with the right tools).

Also I changed the angle of the handlebars. Raised them up a little. I like it, makes me seem a little lower.

Glad to hear you guys got a good ride in . I love the riding in North GA and NC, wish I woulda been able to ride it with you guys....vacation was not going to be put off by a day though The girl would've killed me over that one.

What roads did you hit? You make it all the way to the Dragon?

No we changed our plans a little bit. BTW: What the heck happened to the sunny forecast for Georgia????? Clouds all day in GA. As soon as we crossed into NC the sky parted & the sun was out!

Rode 441 north to Franklin, NC - 64 West to Hiawassee - 75 South to Helen (that's a fun stretch).

Yeah, we were in clouds all morning in GA, hit Chattanooga the sun came out, then got poured on for 10min outside of Nashville. Weather man was wrong on that one.....nothing but sun in Illinois and Missouri today!

Rode 465mi from Paducah, KY to Fulton, IL with a quick stop in St. Louis. Lost all the bolts that hold the sissybar to the brackets(caught it before they were all gone and put some more in) and scratched the hell out of my rear fender with the bag I had strapped to it after my "protective cloth" left me on the interstate somewhere.

Yeah, I already know that your right. Another M50 rider was nice enough to let me ride his bike with forward controls this weekend. I knew in about 2 minutes that I needed it for my bike. It will take a little getting used to at first, but it's a much more natural leg position.
