today nothing... yesterday i took a little ride...

left home, went down through new york state, vermont and got to new hampshire...

live free or die... holy, they aren't kidding... saw 3 other bikers (2 cruisers and 1 sport) on the way to mount washington... a cruiser guy was wearing a skid lid... the other cruiser and sport guy didn't have a helmet (or glasses/goggles) wow.

at any rate... went up the mount washington auto-road.
holy crap that's steep. and cold. and windy.

if anyone is in that area and they haven't ridden it, do so...
it's a bit dangerous as the road is not very wide, bumpy as hell, some parts are dirt and gravel and a 12% incline with a sheer drop off at many points

rode about 1100km (~680 miles)
had problems entering the US since they didn't believe my story of me driving that many miles, just to ride a road to the top of a mountain. neither did the border guy when i was coming back. Border guard - "your sole purpose to go to the states was to ride up a mountain?"

heh. if you're near it, go ride it (costs $12)

Did 364mi today to test out the new Explorer. Helluva lot better than stock. Went up Blood Mountain and then took Wolf Pen Gap Rd. Got gas, turned around and went back. Some fun GA twisties...

Drove her to work again today, so far every day this week. Hasn't rained for 6 straight days, must be a record. watched a cage changing lanes in front of me without using a signal once. As I came up on his right side I could see him scanning his mirrors trying to find me, took him a few seconds to see me. the goodness of drilled pipes. after i passed him he came into my lane, again no signal

rode bike to work and back as usual. takes just over an hour each way. got home and there was a little package waiting for me. it whispered to me as if to say "open me, hurry, there is something for you bike!". i was weak and couldn't resist the begging whispers. i tore open the package like a giddy young boy on xmas morning. i was right smack dab in the middle of a paper/ plastic/ cardboard tornado of package rippings, falling as if to be in slow motion. i got to the core of the package and it was very shiny. turning the items slowly until light bounced off the chrome and blinded me temporarily in both eyes. my heart pounded as i skipped with my new toys out the front door and around the front of house to my m50 parked in the driveway. " honey, i have something for you. it will make you look pretty and even more shiny then you normally do!"

okay fingers are tired lol. installed sickle stem lucifer mirrors. ordered the metric adaptor screw kit. was a good kit. came with extra screws and two longer screws with flat washers, lock washers and different caps. therre were other mirrors with slightly different shape but almost twice as much lol. so why pay the extra if not significant. anyhoo. pics are in the pic thread. still don't notice any dif really with the pc3 usb thingy. i think it's all in my head. exhaust sounds dif and a bit louder (i think)

Now you can start chopping and get rid of all that ugly ABS plastic on the back, check the Tutorials section for the mod.

Went to the hobby shop and got some Sub-Lime Green rattle can paint. It was the only lime green paint I could find that I liked, man it was pricey, 5.99 for 3 oz can, spent that on the big cans for auto paint, 2 cans of black, a primer and clear coat, when the leftovers of Gustav leave the area, I'll start painting. Black as main color, with Lime Green Detail, including most of my chrome. Lime green caliper paint also showed up today, Its supposed to be enough to do 4 calipers on a car, and I only have 1 small one on the front wheel... what else am I going to paint.. hmmm.

nothing to bike, but stopped off at Royal Distributing on way home and purchased an alliance Icon full helmet in black and silver to match bike. this will be nice for the cold/ wet 530am rides to work in morning. got soaked today riding to work. stopped halfway to toronto and put rain pants and jacket overtop of leathers. too late i was already soaked. need to grab something to go over my gloves. not fun riding home with soaking wet leather gloves

thanks. never knew there were rain gloves from the good brands. should've looked into it i guess. thanks. wanted longer gloves that would go over the jacket cuffs but i found a few i tried on to be too tight and bunch up the cuff behind. i'll be looking into the rain gloves tho. thanks again.

I washed mine since I had to ride in the rain all this week. Sunshine today Finally got around to installing my risers... had them for a month! I also tried to play with my Memphis Shades 21" sportshield to try and get rid of the buffetting, no luck

The picture below from today shows the windshield mounted as high as I could get it. I won't elaborate here, I already posted details in the other recent post on this problem.

I hope to get my lightbar installed sometime soon.

I've been looking for quite some time for a guitar emblem or pin of some type that I could use to replace the Suzuki 'S' emblem on the tank console. (Guitars being my other passion). Well I haven't been able to find one that was small enough to fit, came across an old star insignia from my military days, got inspired and did this...

Cool. To me that little suzuki emblem is part of debadging and I took mine off a long time ago. I've got an army emblem as well but no pics of it and I'm too lazy at the moment to get me camera.

I and about 600 others did a poker run, here around middle ga. 130 miles roundtrip. I got in with a group of riders who thought 65 mph was for retired bikers. More like 75 and 80 was the average speed. So saying that I run up front with a Screamin Eagle 110, 2 or 3 Road Kings, and I cant remember how many times they ask "what size is your bike" and I told one guy that I wouldnt go back and tell his wife that I spent a third of the money he did and can still hang with the big dogs. Damn good and fun ride with everyone, no matter what they rode.
