Top tip for changing the oil fliter....

If you can't get the old one to shift, hammer a screwdriver into the body to use as a handle, the used filter goes in the bin, so what does it matter if you wreck it..

Rode it to my friends house where we debadged it and painted the air filter cover a semi gloss black. Makes a huge difference. This weekend is the pipes and a few other details.

I put on the National Cycle Deflector Shield DX. So far so good. Hope to get a good ride in on it today.

was going to go to Mount Washington NH... left kinda late this morning so i thought if i sped a bit i'd make up some time.

wrong. got lit up. came close to getting my license suspended and bike impounded and a $2500 fine. the opp was nice enough to let me on my way. i'm such an idiot (this is why i hate the interstates and kings highway in ontario)

then going through montreal around noonish, it was bumper-to-bumper traffic. some guy pointed at the bike and said something.

my headlight had fallen out of the casing! it was banging along on the fender being held by the bulb socket wires. i pulled over when i could (stupid traffic) and took it off completely.

went to crappy tire and got some screws and duct tape. put the headlight back in.

decided to go back home taking the smaller highways... bad things happen in 3's and i didn't want to chance it.

when i got up this morning i didn't feel too well and thought i should just sleep in some more...

rule of thumb. follow your instincts

I installed the integrated tail light/turn signals from custom dynamics. I love the clean look of the back end now. I'll post pictures tomorrow, too dark to get good ones tonight.

Not today but...I put on skull levers, blacked out the front signals, cut part of the plastic tumor out in back and found a mean looking stainless skull emblem that I blacked out and put on the radiator cover.

doesn't that kit they send out make for such an easy and clean install? worth every penny. on a side note i like the faster flashy as well. i think it gets the attention of ppl more than stock flash speed. just my opinion though

Today I melted the rear wire harness to my M the custom license plate light wires rubbed together and melted the rear half of my wires..SO I went to the auto store ,and MADE an entire rear harness from scratch...rewired the bike license plate light....turn signals...led running lights, and brake light.
WHEEEW!!!!
It works again!...not fault of the M...all my fault.

Finally got around to putting on the 2" lowering kit. I went out this morning for a spanner wrench, but the local dealer was closed. Pepboys was out. I went to Advanced, and they were out as well. The guy asked if an old style oil filter wrench would work, and gave it to me. They used to carry them, but too many customers would crush their filters with them and then try to take them back. So the price was right if it didn't work. It worked great, and I went to a setting of 5 on the rear shock. I took some corners pretty aggressively today, and still not close to scraping anything. I did get a peg to touch in a slow U-turn, and the heel of my boot a couple times. Next will probably be the kickstand mod.

i must not lean enough. i have the 3inch ones and i have touched anything to ground when leaning a turn lol. anyhoo, got my pc3 usb in mail today. nice learning experience. i had a full friggin tank of gas when i got home only to have to siphen most out to a gas can. second attempt to go opposite way after the install (can didn't have a sealing nozzle) i got gas in my mouth, supreme at that lol. wow pretty gross. won't catch me siphoning gas when gas prices are sky high. i'll just sell my body for extra coin. put the stock pipe, stock air filter map onto pc3 (M322 005). i have debaffled, demickey'd stock pipes with stock airfilter. but nothing else for map options came closer than that. hmm. learned how to take the tank off though. learned a few more interested things about my bike.

I guess now would be a bad time to tell you, but you could have left the gas in the tank

Drey,

Yeah, that kit is awesome, the toughest part is cracking open the taillight and glueing it back together. I want to move the license plate now, clean up the rear end totally.

I used shoo goo in clear. Its a glue and a sealant. Goes on thick like clear caulking and was easy to use from the tube.

Left gas in tank? Yea just a tad late geez lol.

New mirrors should be at my door after work to install. Didn't notice much with new pc3 except in 4th I could reach higher speed before changing to fifth. Maybe more dif when I get the hypercharger.
