I am very happy with the minimal plastic that is left on the tail, and the side mount curved looks good!
I don't have any pics of one mounted. I was going to do this mod with my side mounted plate but then decided to put saddlebags on and put the plate on the back of the saddlebags. I don't runa light to my plate. I figure the headlights of the car, or cop, behind me will light up my tag just fine. Anyhow, here are some small LED 12V light pics that may give you some ideas.

Haven't drove the car to work since the end of May. Coming up on 5k miles. 220 miles back and forth to work each week adds up quick on the odometer.

BTW, since I've been riding to work, my wife parked her "land yacht" (Pacifica) and took my 2001 mustang convertible to work, we've saved $140 per month on gas so far thanks to Microsoft Money keeping track of it. At least I justify my payment in fuel savings with a tiny bit extra for a movie rental from Blockbuster.LOL

awesome 32 drag bar just came in from debrix. will install sunday evening when i get back from little trip with wife and son. will try to post pics up now that there's some goodies on it. rode today after installing the 3inch lowering bones last night. WOW, so comfy and a way nicer feel to riding. need the jk forward controls and i think it will feel almost perfect!

I made use of the pair valve bracket to mount this slightly worn $3 leather pouch. It looks good with the paint scheme (probably wouldn't work with any other paint scheme) and it gives me a little storage place for small stuff. It's sits out about an inch away from the cooling fins to minimize any impact on air cooling effects.

egg mcmuffin sandwich is a good start ... considering it's right up against the engine.

now just find a spot for your morning coffee and you're all set sir!

Ha ha. It looks like it hugs the engine but it's got a good air space behind it. After riding around town for a half hour I stopped and felt the back of it to see how warm it was. I was amazed to find that it wasn't really warm at all. I have the stuff to bring it out another 1/2 inch if needed but it doesn't seem like it's needed.

Default Today

Left work early today, came home and changed the engine oil and installed a K&N air filter. I installed the cobra Fi2000. I washed her all up and she is ready for a weekend ride. I'm anxiously awaiting my cobra Streetrod pipes and my corbin seat. I also ordered a lightbar, mounts and relay, and the integrated blinker/brake light. I'm hoping this stuff all shows up next week (well, corbin will be about 5 weeks away).

I took before pics today and I'll take after pics after each part is installed.

Took the saddlebags off this morning and cleaned her up real good. Put the bags back on with some dinner inside and came to work. Ran outside a few min ago to put the cover over her to protect from the heavy rain that was showing up on my scope. Just in time whew...

I bet you could mount a holster to put a .45 or 9mm handgun there

I spent like 4hrs cleaning up the bike to take it to a show tomorrow in which its supposed to rain so all that time spent just to get it dirty again-owell hopefully the rain will hold off for a while to get the show in

Diamond, is that a handcuff case?

Today I spent lots of money, bought new saddlebags from a guy off at work, they are the Kuryakyn XL, got them for 99 bucks, so half off, he used them once. Also bought some stock pipes to mess around with for 20 bucks, Going to clean them up, de-plate, then paint them gloss black, so I got the paint for it too... Also got my first look at the pipes under the heat sheild.. gotta say I feel cheated, also got the filter to do the Typhoon mod. Got an idea for a paint scheme, bike will be Gloss Black and with Candy Lime green detail work, like my cross hairs, and a rally stripe or two, as well as the sissybar, and trim and maybe the crash bars, still working on the details.
