I removed my Highway pegs that I did not like. Installed my Headlight Modulator and I am pleased with that. Wanted to put my brake light modulator on but just rant out of time. Oh well, will do that another day.

huh, thats off, checked the service manuel, you're right, I'll still change mine with every change, can't hurt, can only help.

I got blisters today building my bike lift, not done, I had combat club practice today, so I rode across town in a tabard and hakama... go belegarth.

It's a great feeling when you can do maintenance yourself.

BTW, since filters are $7.85 each, are you saying $36 is the cost of 4-5 oil filters?

Hey Womper,
These are the ones. The problem is that I have to just lay my leg up on top of these pegs and the back of my leg (inch or 2 above my ankle is resting on the peg and it is not comfortable). I am going to get me a set of the swing blades and try those. I think they will be just what I need.

I just put these pegs on about month or so ago but I will post them on eBay.

I also like the Lindy bars too! But I think I will hold off on those for now.

(bump)

Well last night my neighbor dropped my bike while just sitting on it... tore half of the clutch lever off, so I went to the local parts store and tried to buy a new one. None in stock for at least a week... Might just order online. Came home from the store and adjusted the mirrors and and raised the windshield to the maximum height. Been kind of lazy! Had the bike for 6 months and never got around to it!

The bike still rides well, just use three fingers for clutching rather than four. Also, the stock taillight got a scratch on it on the driver's side... kind of glad it didn't go the other way 'cause of the the exhaust.

I knew drinking and driving didn't mix... but now know better about drinking and sitting!

Which filter is that? I will keep it in mind for my next change. I was factoring $12 x 3 for the K&N. After reading about all the issues fellas have been having with getting theirs off, I figured one you can use a socket on would be good.

I'm really digging doing the maintenance myself. I know its just an oil change but I plan on doing my valves next. I'm just worried I'm going to miss something due to lack of experience like my cables are too tight or something. Definitely a good feeling knowing more about your bike and saving all that $$$

I went to Advance Auto and bought a relay and fuse holder. Then I came home, grabbed some wire, connectors and other essentials built a wiring harness for my driving lights. I set it up so the high beam switch turns them on. Those suckers are bright.

I tried out my redneck lift, works, surprisingly well, stable too, even so, added some safety chains. Attempted to install lowering kit, but ran out of time and energy, beaten by a extremely tight 14mm bolt... grr. need to go find a breaker bar or something.
