Default M50 seat, how do you remove?

I'm new to the forum, so be kind

This is my first bike, so be kinder

I didn't get an owners manual, so I'm waiting patiently for it

How do you remove the seat? On the stock seat, can the passenger seat be removed? I want to replace it with the OEM fender bra, I like the look of the solo bike better. I don't want to do it if I have to buy a new seat tho. I seem to be the ideal frame the suzuki built this bike for, and I'm nice and comfy on it even on 1/2 day rides.

you unbolt the passenger seat..the bolt is visable. Then you slip it apart from the main seat it will come apart from that strap. The main seat then has 2 bolts you can remove if you need to get it off.

OK, I removed the visible bolt on the back of the passenger seat. The passenger seat has two more bolts visible only when I pull back on the strap( I gave it a good tug, and it didn't seperate from the driver seat). Do those bolts nees to come off as well. The allen wrench didn't want to go in between the two seats.

Pull the passenger seat back from under the strap and completely remove it. Now take out the two bolts that are holding down the strap and bracket. You should now be able to slide the driver's seat back and up out of the way.

Is it safe to ride with someone on your lap(In a purely plutonic sense of course!)?

The safety aspect depends - if you get permission from your wife - then yes, it's safe. If you don't get permission then - not so safe.

Hmm, very good point. I'm gonna be safe and throw the passenger seat and allen wrench in a bag, so I have it just in case...

Open up your tool case, there should be 2 allen keys (aka hexagonal wrenches) and get the big one, undo the seat bolts. [You can't miss the bolts].
