Default Hello from Pennsyltuckey

Hi everybody. Been lurking on the board for a while reading all the fascinating information everyone has to share. Recently purchased my first motorcycle (the m50) and MSF starts on Thursday. It's great to find a place dedicated to these outstanding bikes.

Cheers.

Welcome Loc.
I am in St. Marys.
Just took a ride up your way on Friday Karbyn.
Russd, glad to see your a fellow Pennsylvanian, sorry to see your from New Kensington. Bad story, but I have a brother in law from there that I literally hate and would like to see very bad things happen to. But he hides in Florida now.
Taking a ride to Dubois later today if the weather holds. Wife wants to do some light shopping and I told her it will fit on the bike.
I assume you are taking the rider course in Clearfield? Good course and well worth your time. Even if you have ridden in the past on dirt like a lot of us, you will pick up a lot of street related knowledge to keep you upright and safe. They have the Suzuki GZ 250's there to ride. Are you doing your riding section on Saturday or Sunday? Doesn't matter, at the end of the second session you will take your test and get your license. I only know one person who couldn't pass and she took the course 5 times. She flunked the written and riding sections.
Stay safe, pay attention at the course and take your time getting used to the bike. It will all be worth it.

Don't worry about the weather. They hold the class rain or shine and ride rain or shine.
That is so they don't have to do the entire class over again. Just take a raincoat.

Welcome to MJ.
Where exactly is Pennsyltuckyian, can't say I have ever heard of such a place. Then again I live in Kansas and if you are not related, by blood, to a cow, I wouldn't know ya...

lol.. Pennsyltuckey is the rural area between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia..

Or.. as James Carville put it: "Pennsylvania is Philadelphia and Pittsburgh with Alabama in between."

but Pennsylbama doesn't work as nicely.

For you Pennsyltuckians within striking distance, there is a free concert by Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Casino in Salamanca New York on Friday at 7 pm. They are having it outdoors so there should be plenty of room.
