It's squishy and wide and comfortable, you get a little back support, and the passenger seat is worlds better than stock. It's 2-3" wider, flat, and also squishy.

Since your wife is toward the taller side, you might also look into replacing the passenger footpegs, either with floorboards or other pegs on extensions. I've taken a couple female friends on rides who are 5'7" or 5'8", and they complained that the pegs made them feel a little crunched up. Anything you can do to drop them a bit and maybe move them forward or give your passenger more places to put their feet would be a huge benefit.
Very true!!

I have the saddlemen explorer and it is the best looking of all the dual seats, not as comfortable as the mustang but comfortable enough and much better looking (another criteria of mine, it has to look good).

As for the passenger pegs, if you value your marriage and want your wife to ride with you often, CHANGE THEM!!!

See my post here for what i have done to fix that problem:

Oh, and to MJ

I'm in Columbus myself. I was worrying I was the only Ohioan myself.

I don't know if I can piggy back onto this post...............but.............

Has anyone thought of or have they put a gold wing seat on their M50?

i doubt very much it will fit.

The slim fender of our M50 is not wide enough to hold the couch that comes on the gold wing.

It's comfortable as all hell (i just set on one last night) but needs a wide base fender, so a massive modification will be needed.

After Market seats like the corbin, mustang and saddlemen are way cheaper and easy to install... just my 2 cents

I bought the Gel seat from Suzuki and it feels great. Haven't taken it out on a long ride yet but I feel a huge difference.
