Default Another DJ Drive M50

After seeing so many folks on the VR forums happy with their DJ drives and seeing Breeze's posts here, I decided to get on the waiting list.

I was 82 on the wait list back in April which didn't concern me as long as I got one. Then last week I saw someone selling theirs and I jumped on it.

My drive came in yesterday. I did a quick rattle can paint job on it as I was removing the rear tire. I drilled the holes out to 9/16, lubed the new drive and installed it. The drilling was not so bad. I was still kinda working. I went home to work at home when I saw my package was delivered

I originally planned on painting yesterday then installing today but install was so straightforward I decided to go for it.
I took a quick ride around the neighborhood never exceeding 40mph and its great For those fearing first gear will make the bike sluggish from a stop...I didn't notice it. All I noticed was a taller first gear, and it wasn't THAT tall. I wound it up to like 25mph before shifting up again. Only issue I had was when I first shifted up, I shifted up too soon and I found revs to be a bit low so I downshifted back to first and I got a bit of backwheel wobble. That was the only time.

I'll do some more riding today to really test her out but so far it feels good.
