|  PowerCommander/Air Intake Worth it?
For those that have added a PC and aftermarket air intake, was it worth it? By that I mean the increased horsepower/torque. It seems like a reasonable cost if the perfomance is there. I would like to keep my stock pipes intact, as I get annoyed listening to loud pipes drone on my freeway runs. Actually, the stock pipe sounds perfect to me. As a former V-star 1100 owner seeing the same "needs a 6th gear" complaint on the V-star forums, there were people that opened up the air box and jetted the carbs that claimed they never had the "6th gear" complaint afterward. I did put a PC and a pipe on R6 I owned with the map from Fuel Moto, but didn't really notice much, probably since the bike was already extremly fast. As a side note, how many post do you need to get out of "Newbie" status? |
