Default Farewell to the Secret Hideaway!!

Hi everyone,
I just traded the M50 for a 05 VTX 1800c. I simply couldn't refuse the deal I got. I basically paid a $1000 on top of the M50 for it. Thanks for all the help and take care everyone!

VTX? M109LTD! If you had any residual respect for the M50 you'd ride the big Sister rather than the cousin!

That's true, but dealers are practically giving away "brand-new" '05 VTX 1800s these days. Not sure if jughead's is new, but even if it's not, I'm sure you could get a used one for a song.

I just have a mental image of you pushing the M50 up the dealers driveway with a thousand bucks literally piled on top of it.

I've read anywhere from 35-48MPG
I haven't looked hard, so I haven't found a solid number yet.

What makes the vtx better than a m109? I like the vtx too but I like the 109 as well.

nothing. m109 puts out more power and torque than the vtx.

the wheels in my head are turning. I love my 05 M50. I have had it for 2 years. I added Cobra Slashdowns, Cobra Fi2000, Poptop windshield, Cobra Sissybar, Lowered 2 1/2 inches, added risers. The bike handles great and fits me real well.

However, I would like more power. Thinking of Hypercharger, New seat and some various accessories. Do I spend the grand in accessories or take the plunge on VTX or used Vrod. I wish Suzuki made an M90. I am 5'5 160 lbs. The 109 is too big.

That damn slippery slope of always wanting more. Would someone please talk me off the ledge.

Yeah, I am in the same position. I've been looking at the used Warriors, and I really want something with a little more power. But at the same time I really like my M. I want to get a new seat, and I need a new set of tires. So do I trade in the M for the warrior, or do I stay with the M and spend the cash on upgrades?

I think the biggest factor with getting a new bike is adding all of the accessories. I've already spent so much on the M with a windshield, sissy bar, saddlebags, new pipes, Cobra FI, air intake, lowered and forward controls, decals, and chrome accessories. It would cost be a ton to get the new bike to the same comfort level as I have with the M.

So I think I will stick with my M for a little longer. Plus the extra power is only needed once in a while on the highway, most of the time I enjoy just cruising around town or commuting to work.
