| Upgrades on the a new bike would be an additional cost. However, upgrades on this bike or upgrades on the new. I guess I could ride the year out on my 50 and wait till the end of the season. More feedback would be appreciated.

| I have decided to wait it out. The M does everything I need, and it handles great. I know some of the bigger bikes are not moving very fast, at least in my area, so you could check and see what kind of deal you can get. There was a leftover M109 that they would let go for $10k. If you buy used, the price will be even cheaper. There are so many used bikes out there that are execellent buys, I don't know why everyone get's hung up on buying new. I asked what I would get on a trade for the heck of it, and it was $4k. I would have lost less than $1K of what I bought the bike for and the accessories I added. I could cut that down even more by pulling some of those off and selling them.

| Guys I have to say I will trade up at first option, but i'm really gonna jump ship big cause My next upgrade is a big fat chopper(harley drivetrain), sport bike(not suzuki), or lastly M109r. I have found a salvage bike auction that has all of these bikes (needing work of course) for 4000.00 and under. Most need frame work, but I can manage. Hell I chop'm up anyhow! OOOOOOOhhhhhh yeah gimme a m109r with 6 degrees more rake and 10 inch fork extensions!

| The M50 is my first bike and I love it. I have so many plans with this bike I can't even think about another. I rode my brother's vrod and it was pretty darn quick but it didn't have the cruising feel that I like out of my M50. My wife loves it too(after I got a Mustang seat) Granted I'm 140lbs and she is 110. I think if I were a bigger guy I'd probably want some more muscle.

| Yes what is it with us bike people never happy. I just got my M50 a couple of weeks ago, came with sheild, but of course I wanted the Memphis with black on the bottom, and the riser's from Jeff, and then I'm sure once I spend a good thousand on accessories I'll be looking for another ride. But I do have to say I love the handling on the M50. I still do not even know what MPG I'm getting. It's an 800 I knew that when I bought it, so the power is what it is, I sold my 1200 sportster to get it and I have no regrets. I LOVE MY M50. One day I'll figure out how to post pics on this sight.

| I know the "new-ness" won't wear off for a while, but how does the M compare with the Hammer? It looks like you may have had it for a few days. Handling? Pickup? Shift points? Cruising comfort? Exhaust? $$$ of accessories? Gas mileage (like that matters with a new bike) Fellowship (as what's found on this forum)

| Nevermind!! I just read about your still broken ankle. When you get a chance, write up a review; I am sure that we all want to know about the Hammer! Hopefully it won't be 4 months for you to heal up...

| Well I am now in an aircast that fits under my boot. I am able to ride. Here is my assessment of the M50 vs the Victory Hammer: Handling? the M50 goes easily where you want it to. You think right and the bike goes right. I loved that about the M50. The 250 rear tire takes some getting used to but after a few turns I figured it out. Pickup? You really can't compare. I left my buddy in the dust. It was like he was standing still. Seriously Shift points? It is so different. 1st and second takes me up to 70 if I gun it. 2500 rpm 6th gear @ 80 mph Cruising comfort? Great. Very comfortable. Did a 4 hour cruise over the weekend. Exhaust? I did not modify yet. I am going to pull the baffles to see how loud. It runs quiet if i am not on it. When I open it is a loud low growl. $$$ of accessories? about 15-20% higher Gas mileage (like that matters with a new bike) I got 46 miles to the gallon. Fellowship (as what's found on this forum). THIS FORUM IS THE BEST. REALLY. Don't ride one unless you are ready to buy one. My friend now wants a Hammer. |
