Stripes, stripes, stripes - a popular addition to many M50s including mine

They look great

Did you have to extend any of the cables / brake lines / etc ?

I am considering changing the white for the stripes in mock-CF or matte-black

I love this site but your alls mod ideas are going to get me in trouble with the wife when she notices the bank account going down!
Cardude, did you pay someone to do it or did you attempt it yourself? If so how expensive to get them put on?

Thanks Oz, I would do it myself but I have no patience with stickers and the sort. I can break down a chevy 350 and have it back together in a day but when it comes to stickers, paint, etc. I usually screw it up!

I'm looking at that website cardude linked to. If I do the stripe I kinda would like to have it broken in the middle instead of the two sides, kinda like an old camaro skunk stripe.

i put it on myself. do it when its hot out. If there are any bubbles hold a hair dryer on it for a few seconds and then pop them with a needle. smooth them out and no one can tell there was a bubble there.

Thanks for the info, looks like an inexpensive mod and somewhat easy to do (just got through looking at the instructions on their website). Two questions though. Does the plastichrome at the gas tank come off easily to put the sticker under it and did you have to take the screw out of the back seat mount before putting the sticker down?

The plastichrome on the gas tank comes off with the 3 allen key bolts and I removed the rear seat so that the sticker goes underneath

Good Luck

Thanks. I think I am also going to order some stickers for my lawnmower! How about some yellow flames on the hood for my JohnDeere? I've got to have something to amuse me during the 5 hours it takes to mow my yard.

buy the plastic blower scoop that makes your car look like its got a 6-71 sticking out of it and some pvc pipe painted silver for the zoomy headers... that be best for the JohnDur.. then you can put it in reverse and slam it in drive and pull the front end up and make it look like its got some real power.. (be carefull i flipped my g-pa's JD that way moving his grass)

Went on ride with Hammer Pete and his wife Rae:

Fillin up at the Chevron before the ride:

my bike says I went just under 250 miles round trip, but we all know the speedo is about 4 miles over ("your speed" signs confirmed this today) so probably less.

The odometer is usually much more correct than the speedometer.
