When you don't Mod your bike it makes me think you have no mechanical skills. Everything I changed on my bike I changed because overtime little things started to annoy me. Loved the bike when I saw it on the showroom,But it got old. I have optimized my ride to fit my style and attitude as an individual. If you want to blend in with the pack and take the straight road by all means do it, cause I'll have less traffic on the road less traveled.

Personally I think it looks fine other than I wish there were more constant on lights back there. It makes me think that if people didn't like the M50 when they bought it and are trying to change it so much that it doesn't look like an M50 anymore, then why didn't they buy a different bike? The M50 is such an easy bike to mod, thats why a lot of people get it. Its kinda like buying a new Harley and turning it into a chopper, I mod my bike so it is my bike, I don't want the same parts from the catalogs as everyone else has on every bike, so they all look like clones, that why I do things that seem odd like cutting off excess cheap looking plastic, or take the balls off the end of my levers, its not that I don't think the M50 isn't great right off the line, but there are thousands of them.
Even my two tone paint "custom" paint (how can it be custom if its factory?) is getting changed, keeping the colors just adding details, making little changes so its still an M50, but it's MY M50, never owned anything I left stock, not cars, not guns, not paintball gear. For others, the M50 is really inexpensive for it's size, so they want a cheaper bike to change completely. Sure I may borrow a mod the someone else has come up with, but I give it my own twist, and I share and answer any questions about anything I come up with (hasn't been much so far other than the de-balling and my grill). Or my latest change is comfort for my girl, passenger seat is mean, so I expanded it and will be putting on different foam.

I have a lowering kit on the way, got it as much for looks, low and mean and for handling. And I do agree that rear running lights other than the tail light would be nice, but I'm working on a solution to that. I'm fairly new to modding motorcycles, I've had mine for 2 months now, But aside from the drivers seat, drive train, basic construction of the bike and the tires nothing is exactly the same as it was when I got it from Suzuki, and I don't plan on stopping.

Thanks for the input. I understand the concept of customizing and making it your own but I guess I just like the M50 so much I can't think why anyone would want to modify it. To each his own. Maybe once I pay it off I'll get a paint job and put some money into it but for now, I think it the way it sits.

Thanks. That's what I thought too. I would have had the sunset in the background, but I missed it by about 10 minutes.

They are Cobra Slashdowns with the Power Commander and dyno mapped. I use photobucket.com to post my pics.

Joel, that looks like an M50 Postcard!!! Did Suzuki pay you to take that picture?

RAddiction, you have to use an outside webpage to load the larger pictures. (Bebo, Photobucket, etc...) When you click the "Post Reply" button there is another button you can press along the top where you type your message that says insert picture or some such thing. Paste the web address the pic is at and wahlah you have the big pics. Not sure if the mods really like us doing that though, I read a post early about them not wanting sigs to big I can just imagine what they think of huge pics. Hope that helps.....

Very nice Joel, also like the sniper kitten.. I need to borrow a friends digital camera, they make pictures so surreal... There is a parking deck with a low walls surrounded by fields out here, want to take a picture up there.. Those Cobra pipes look great, not so bulky.

When you say Dyno mapped, do you mean that you had it set up on a dyno? If so who did it? I live a couple of hours at the most from York.

I took it to Karn's Performance in Camphill. $275.00 The guy told me if I need it redone for whatever reason they would only charge $100.00. They put it on the Dynojet and ran their program to remap the fuel and air mixture. It was really cool, cuz they let you be right there when they do it.

I wish they did that way I could use that money toward a hypercharger. No, just amateur photography and luck on getting the right angle and setting.
