| Where Am I ? | I tried a Saddlemen Explorer and the hole or gap at the bottom of the rider's portion of the seat pinched me when I tried to ride it. I returned the seat to Dennis Kirk for a refund and have been living with the stock seat with a sheepskin cover since. I have a Mustang two piece on order -- they just recently announced a seat for the M50. It should be in later this week -- I'll post reactions when I get on it and ride for an afternoon. Ray Nielsen, in Minneapolis and hoping for a new seat by week's end. |

| I don't think anybody has a Mustang seat yet, or at least I haven't seen any posts about it. I've got one on order also that should be here sometime in the next couple weeks if their shipping estimate was accurate.

| Have you also looked at Corbin's offerings? The Dual Tour might be another option for you. I used to have a Classic Solo, and my impression after 1000 miles on it was basically that it would be comfortable if my butt was more narrow. Unfortunately it's not, so I didn't fit into the scoop of the seat like you're supposed to.

| I've been interested in a new seat for a lower sit and a more comfortable ride (even though I see not alot wrong with the stock seat with exception to the hump in the back). Where could I find a Corbin? Who sells them? I've checked JpCycles and nothing. Does Corbin have just a solo offering? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

| After looking at all the pros and cons of Saddlemen and Corbin seats, I decided to go ahead and order one of the 2-piece Mustang seats directly from Mustang. I have no clue when I will actually get it, or how much of a premium I paid by ordering direct rather than waiting for ebay vendors to get their supplies. But if it turns out to be a great seat $485 shipped I can live with, and my poor tailbone will thank me. If it sucks I will quickly sell it before the rest of you find out. | My mustang 2 piece arrived today. I installed it (in about 15 minutes) and took it for about a 30 minute spin. First impression; it's a big improvement. I feel a little lower, a little bit more forward. The pillon acts as a back rest. The seat is wider, and more supportive. I'll post again after I have the chance to ride longer. |

LouM50, there are a few options you might consider. Corbin makes a Classic Solo seat which can be ordered alone (just the driver seat) or with the pillion. You used to be able to get them from Oneida Suzuki, but they appear to not be selling the classic solo anymore. You might have to get that one direct from Corbin. If you really want to get low in the saddle, you might also look at the Corbin Stinger and Saddlemen Profiler. Both of those have a pillion section, but it's about 2-3" wide and not really meant for a passenger to sit on for long. Their main feature is that the driver's seat is pretty thin, dropping you down into the bike several inches from stock. Finally, there's a Granucci Hale Bopp seat that is made for the C50 which will fit an M50 with some minor modifications. If you do a search on this forum you should find a thread where somebody did that. The Granucci is probably the lowest saddle you can get, it looks almost like a seat pan with a mousepad and a cover on it. Don't know how comfortable that would be for any length of time though.

| I ordered mine on the first day they were available, I think that was May 1st. It was a big surprise when I saw that it had arrived last night. For some reason, I had thought they were projecting a June ship date. I'll post a pic when I have a chance to snap one. |

| Well, I just got my "your seat has shipped" e-mail. It's leaving the factory tonight and will be sent via UPS Ground, so it should arrive while I'm in Italy. On the upside, my new Memphis Shades Big Shot and MC Enterprises highway bars should also be arriving while I'm in Italy, so hopefully I can get some wrenching done on my bike on Memorial Day and take an extended ride to review everything.

| Ordered my seat on 5/2, it shipped on 5/13. So it looks like the delay is only a couple of weeks, or at least it was for people who ordered the beginning of May.

| I checked the site... those seats look extremely comfortable and exactly what I want. I'm not thrilled that if I want one, I need to get both the solo and the pillon for about $650. I might make a move and get the gel seat from suzuki for $250 and no need for a pillon. Anyone have any experience with the gel seat? $650 is a little steep.
