Default Lesson learned

I bought myself some new levers to replace the thin OEM levers that were on my bike. The front brake was real easy, unscrew bolt, take old lever, insert new lever,.....

I ran into a little sag on the clutch. In my haste I put the new lever on and put everything back together. Then I realized I forgot to put the spacer in the clutch handle and now my clutch is loose. I tried to remove the nut that holds it on but since I over tightened it when I out it back together, now it will not come off. The nut just spins in place and will not come off.

I am down to my last option on this. I am going to have to cut the bolt in order to get it off. A new bolt and nut will run me $10.00

Lesson learned. Don't over tighten the nut when putting your clutch back on.

Good info...sucks for you to have to spend money and effort to fix it, but it's cool that you threw it up here to warn other folks.

Did you go with the Kuryakyns? I love mine.

Sounds like you need a trip to your local Ace. Are these parts really that special?

Please finish filling out your profile. I'd like to know what bike you ride. That goes for both of you.

Rowdy, I noticed that everyone's bike profiles aren't being shown. I have my bike in my bike profile but I don't see it.

I just noticed the profile format changed, and our bikes disappeared from the avatar.

Call me "King Nothing". Now, where's my crown?

Just want one thing
Just to play the king
But the castle's crumbled
And I'm left with just a name
