|  Intro - Just got an '05 M50
Hi all, I'm a newbie to the world of motorcycling. I took/passed the MSF beginners course in March and got my M1 license at the end of March, a few days before my 41st birthday. After a lot of searching, I ended up getting a gently used 2005 M50 with 1600 miles on it. When I drove it home, it was my first time above 30 mph, on the freeway, above 3rd gear, etc. The bike was 60 miles from my home (Redondo Beach, CA) and I cut down to Pacific Coast Highway...What a rush! I got this bike as a 'learner' bike...I want to get a bigger bike but after the MSF class, I realized I wanted to gain more riding skills on a mid-size bike. Anyhow, I've been reading tons here (to the detriment of my business) and am looking to do some minor customization (exhaust, windscreen, seat, chrome) Is there a poll on the top 10 modifications done to the M50s here? The first thing I'm looking to do is get the better lightbulb so when the time comes that I do ride at night, I can see and be seen! Thanks to everyone who has posted all the informative things here.
