|  question about drilled pipes
Ok, i broke down and did a light drilling and im not really pleased with the results. I decided to do 4x1/2" holes instead of the 8 in the template and the sound is a bit too 'pop pop pop' instead of the deeper tone i was looking for. Here is my question: I would like to get a deeper tone while avoiding making it much louder... What is the relationship between the number of holes and the size of the holes in regards to tone and volume? I think EVENTUALLY i will end up doing diamond_jim's idea of the debaffle and glass pack but i dont really want to do anything that extreme just yet. I am still breaking in the bike so for now i just want to get the best results possible with drilling. |
