|  Carbon Fiber
Here is what I did last night. I know there has been interest in carbon fiber neck covers. I bought some sheets of carbon fiber metallic sheets, and a roll of 2" wide carbon fiber looking metallic tape. I did the neck covers with the large sheets. They were a pain because of all the shaping. I tried soap and water and a blow dryer. I couldn't get the wrinkles out perfectly. It does give a good idea of what it would look like, but I will have to remove, as I can't stand the wrinkles. I used the tape on the radiator shroud. It came out great. I am going to get a stainless face from Irate Customs to put over the front. I am going to use the tape on the swingarm and driveshaft also. Will post more pics, but have to heat the shop and the bike up first.  This gives you an idea anyway of what the carbon fiber neck covers would look like if we could find someone to make them, or make covers for them. |
