| Greetings everyone. Been lurking here for a little bit and decided to put in my first post. I recently decided to get rid of the Gixxer I had since it no longer fit with the type of riding I wanted to do. I still wanted to remain sporty and the M50 just seemed to keep popping up in my research. So a few weeks ago I pulled the trigger and bought an '08 Grey/Yellow M50. Of course we are still in a deep freeze up here so I won't be actually picking it up until we head into nice riding weather. So to pass the time I'm shopping for accessories! I have a couple questions I hope can be answered here..... 1) I'm looking at a Memphis Shades Pop Top windscreen as it looked small and seems to have a nice rake to it that flows with the bike well. This would only be put on for longer rides as around town I think I would do without it. Since I don't have the bike to actually check, what cutout size should I be getting....the 7" or the 9" one? I have a feeling it is the 9" but just wanted to check. 2) Floor boards. I saw these small mini ones that flip up out of the way when not needed but for the life of me I can't find where I saw them. I thought they would be pretty good as around town you would just use the pegs but if you do a longer run, they would be there for you. Any idea who has these and what model they were? I have a feeling they were Suzuki OEM but not sure. I'm sure I'll have more as time goes by. I'm just dying here waiting to ride the thing!!! |

| Welcome ![]() As far as the windshield you can go with either size, but the 9" seems to be a cleaner looking fit for this bike. Like you, I'm waiting out the winter, and riding season to be here.

| As far as the winshield it is the 9" cut out. I've never seen the floor boards but if you find them please let me know so I can see them.

| Cool thanks. Yup I'm tired of the winter for sure. I have a pic of the bike as my wallpaper and find myself making engine noises from time to time ![]() That warmer weather better show up or people around me are going to think I'm really losing it |

| to M-J Jamie! For windshields you can also take a look at the Memphis Hellcats, they're mounted on the handle bar and can be positioned various ways. As for the foot pegs I think you're talking about the Kuryakyn Swingwings. http://www.motorcycle-journal.com/fo...tml#post408305

| And go with bar mounts, not fork mounts. The fork mount is limited in the ways/rake angles you can mount it at, while the bar mounted hellcat has a lot more options. On the pegs/boards, try kuryakyn.com. they have a ton of different options, I'll bet there's something that will work over there. Quality stuff too. welcome aboard!

| I was looking for a windshield too. But I thought that the bar mounts were better. Are you using the bar mounts? Don't you get a lot of bar movement when is is windy or on the highway? I'm just curious because like I said I heard the fork mounts were better. I want to hear your point of view.

| to answer your question on the floor boards it is a suzuki part i saw them at the bike show in cleveland on a m50 so i asked the rep and he said they are now available then he gave me a parts catalog to take home with all the new stuff in it, they make them for driver and passenger.
