Default Weight of Stock pipes.Pipes

In my earlier post the question came up as to how heavy the stock pipes were compared to the aftermarket pipes. The ones in the thread were V & H Cruzers I put on my bike. If nobody has an answer I'm so curious I'm going to dig out my stock pipes and put them on a scale. Of course its going to be hard to find out the weight of the aftermarket pipes. Since I don't have any way to get my bike on the bathroom scale.

For what it's worth I read the shipping weight of the cruzers to be 20lbs. which probably includes packaging....maybe a pound of cardboard etc. ?

Oh come on-you mean to tell me you cant get your bike into the house, to the bathroom and lift it onto the scale? Maybe if you stand it up on the back wheel it will be easier to manuever around corners and then since its up just walk it right up on the scale.

It has to be done this way because taking the bathroom scale to the bike is to easy and therefor no fun

O.K. I MANNED UP and took the scale into the garage, threw the M on my shoulders, weighed the bike and realized I had to calculate how much fuel was in the tank on my way to the emergency room.

Actually stepped on the scale and the stock pipes weighed about 30 lbs - 20 V & H -1 for packing material leaves a difference of about 11 lbs. Give or take a pound or so. See what a good education will get you.
