|  DIY Air intake
Like a lot of people around here finances are a bit low after Christmas but still want to continue modding my bike, what I was wondering is I really like the look of the Thunder Tornado air intake but just a little out of reach at the moment. Has anyone had a go at a DIY version of the above, I thought that the standard air box backing plate could be modified to accept a 90 degree PVC elbow or similar then it would be fairly straight forward to attach a piece of pipe and a K&N filter? Greatest concern that I could see would be firstly the DIY version would look like a pos or that the modded plastic backing plate wouldn't be up to the stresses that having all that weight attached to it in the wind would bring. |
