Do tell. His is already powder coated in flat. He wants gloss. Can he not get another coat in gloss?

Yes he can.... it's very simple.

The existing coat can be sanded off, or they can probably just run it through the line with the existing coat still on (though the now coat will have some of the texture of the old coat).

I would go cheap. Sand it off, spray paint it and clear coat it. Do it right and it will look good.

Misunderstood you profane. I thought you were contradicting my previous post and were saying you could see reasons he could not get his done. I am with you on the "el cheapo" version. That's what I'd do.

I wouldn't really worry about heat for the intake. It doesn't get hot enough. But if you have to just use the motor paint.
