| I've been looking at risers and what people have to say about them for a while but can't quite get settled. Right now I'm down to the two PhatRisers II or III. Sitting on the bike I decided that the most comfortable position for me would be to bring the handlebars about 4 to 6 inches back without too significantly raising the bars (about 2 inches rise/or whatever is needed so I won't ding the tank). Looking at the PhatRisers III it shows them to be 8 inches tall with 1.5 inches pullback but the way they mount on the M 50 at an angle it would probably work for me. Does anyone have any experience with this? Did anyone have the same issue I do--need a lot of pullback but not so much rise--and if you did how did you solve your problem. And finally, how do the PhatRisers II compare to the IIIs in pullback and rise when mounted on the M? I would like to just mount the IIs and not have to change all the cables but if they do not bring the bars far enough back I'm not accomplishing anything. (PS I rode the bike sitting way back and barely touching the grips with my fingers like the bars would be sitting about 5 inches back, man that was comfortable...perhaps a different handlebar? Suggestions, solutions? Thanks everyone)

| I'm also considering the 8" PhatRisers lll, except I'm looking for more rise than pullback. Judging from the angle of the triple tree the taller risers should provide more pullback while increasing the height by only a little. The only thing that's holding me back is I still haven't figure out where to mount the speedo. The top part of the speedo sits on the bar itelf I just need to custom fabricate a bracket to secure the bottom part of it...perhaps bolt it onto the triple tree somehow? I also would like to hear how other people (if any) who runs aftermarket risers for ideas as well.

| Theoretically (in my head in other words) I have resolved the speedo thing. There are two tabs underneath the speedometer where it curves around the handlebars. My solution was to install metal mounts to bolt through these tabs effectively mounting the speedometer to the handlebars. But for the comfort of the pullback I'd do without one...

| Have you considered bars with more pullback instead of new risers? The C50 bars might be worth looking into.
