Default New handlebars- some drilling required?

I've been wanting to get some T-bars for my '06 M50. Several of the sites show cool T-bars that are a direct fit for other brands of metric cruisers but often say that for C50/M50s, some drilling is required. What the heck needs to be drilled? I also posted this in the "Boulevard" section so if you've been there you may have seen this thread there as well.

I'm always confused by that one too. I knoiw if you want to use the existing "bumps" on the throttle side controls, you need to drill a hole for the nub to sit in. (Most folks just grind the nub off instead)

On the other side, I know there's occasionaly some drilling on the trees required with the one piece "riser/bar" combos on some bikes. I don't know of anyone who's installed one yet on a c50/m50.

We need us a guniea pig.

I've already grinded down the nubs on the inside of the controls. I had to when I rotated my handlebar forward then had to realign the controls. I'm just worried about any drilling into the triple clamp. I want to get a T-bar handlebar and just don't want to spend money then be surprised that I've got to do some other mod just to do the handlebar mod.
