Default Took a ride from Syracuse out to Oneida Suzuki Saterday: No afiliation whatsoever....

I have been wanting to ride over to Oneida, about an hours ride east from where I live, to check out Oneida Suzuki. Finally yesterday, Saturday, seemed like the perfect day to go check it out. I turns out to be just a very small little Suzuki dealership, with no affiliation at all with the web store. The web store is simply a warehouse in some other location.

I got there right at noon, and the guy that was there working was not even interested in talking much, as the actual dealer was gone for the day. They do not carry much and do not ship anything. It was a bit of a disappointment, but I suspected that they were not related.

On the other hand it was a beautiful day for a ride out east on Rout 5, and any excuse for a ride is a good excuse.

That guy is probably sick of answering the same question in person and over the phone.
"Are you the guys with the web-site?
"Are you the guys with the web-site?"
"Is that your web-site?"
"I like your on-line store?"
"I seen your store on the internet?"
etc. etc.

they're affiliated, but only in that the same company owns both of them. I stopped in this spring, and the guy behind the counter did indeed say that's the number 1 question that they get.

Correct, his actual statement to me was that they were a completely separate division.

Anyway, as I said, it was a great day for a ride.

Well, that might explain the overly exhorbitant shipping costs from CNY to Albany....!

Figures this weekend was awesome weather-wise, and I had drill ...and I saw TONS of bikes around...

And of course, today (a holiday) looks to be a washout (no rain as yet though), and starting Friday, I have to go to Fort Drum for work- losing the next two weekends in the process. Upstate NYers- might be good weather right to the end of October, simply because I won't be able to look at my bike!

Yep, was able to ride in the dry every day last week, and probably not at all this week.

Boy, driving the car to work is boring. I do not look forward to winter, except for the fact that I downhill ski, and that does help the speed up those long winter months.

Some awesome riding up there. I was stationed at the old Griffis AFB and lived out in N Syracuse for 8 years.

Yea, the riding around here is great. Any road at all is beautiful and scenic. I will sometimes just take off and ride a new small highway just to see where it goes.

Riding is riding, but the scenery makes it great.
