Default Any m50 riders goin to Thunderbeach?

Hey guys, I'm going to the Thunderbeach Fall Rally on Saturday (the 9th of Sep.) Any other M50 riders goin? Or ANY riders from the M-J.com site? It should be a fun trip, and a very short one for me. It's in Panama City, Florida and I'm about an hour away. I plan on taking alot of pics and video so they should be up sometime Sunday or Monday. I'm really looking foward to it, I want to talk to some guys about putting LED lights so at night my engine lights up blue or something, but I dunno. See ya there, maybe!

Due to connectivity issues I've been gone a while. I hit up Thunder Beach on Saturday. It was my first time riding 2 up on the M50. A lot more comfortable than I thought it would be.

The turn out wasn't near as big as the Spring event.

really? was there Saturday also. Ive never even been so the turn out was huge to me, lol. If I'm around next Spring I'll DEFINITELY go to it. I posted a thread on Off Topic with pics and videos of the event.

Default Thunder Beach and Newbie

Hello to everybody on this forum, I have been a lurker for several months and finally signed up the other day. I have a 2005 BLACK 50 that is lowered 3 inches, all badges and decals removed, Kury' grips, throttle boss and mirrors , Baron chrome master cylinder cover, Clear Alternative lenses (front),CustomL.E.D Integrated taillight/with turn signals with L.E.D. license plate frame (from Signal dynamics), Vance & Hines Cruzers, Power Commander, Mapic Forward Controls and Suzuki Brand front and rear gel seats (also a rear fender bra for when my wife or kids don't want to ride). Getting to the point of this thread ,this was my first bike rally I have attended. Our crew left Thursday morning and arrived that afternoon after numerous stops along the way. We could have been there in 3.5-4 hours but were not in a hurry. Our route was pretty much back roads from Valdosta,Ga. to Tallahassee,Fl. then straight down to the coast following Hwy.98 West all the way to Panama City. Lots of beautiful scenery along with light traffic made for a easy ride. We had reservations at the Long Beach Resort which was pretty much in the middle of the action. I was hoping for more vendors with metric accessories but that wasn't the case. Our group still had a good time at Frank Brown Park checking out the bikes for sale( in fact my buddy from work bought a 2007 Big Dog w/ a 117 c.i. S&S) along with hitting the Edgewater and other venues. As I was saying earlier this was my first rally, but as a truck driver I cover the South Ga.,North Fla.and South Al.area and the Spring rally seemed to be more popular with much more bikes heading north and south on HWY. 231. But this is still a good rally to attend ,most people were friendly and courteous and the cops weren't all over the place watching you (which I've heard is the case in Daytona Beach). I did see 3-4 M-50's when I was cruising around and all of them waved( Even one lady that was standing there beside her silver one!) To be honest I wasn't expecting to see any so that was neat. Beautiful weather (NO rain and decent temps) made for a good vacation. The white sand beach and the beautiful water made for relaxing mornings and evenings on the balcony along with LOTS of beverages. Our ride back home Sunday afternoon was a shorter one because we didn't have the time to cruise the coast back but was fun never-the-less. Anybody in the Southeast U.S. should consider this rally, from what I have heard it is still growing and you can never get too much of the beach!

One of the great things about Thunder Beach is that it's free. You don't have to pay admittance anywhere and parking is free.
