Default New M50 owner...

Hello all.

After much research I came across the M50 and thanks to the positive aspects posted in this forum I am now an owner. Although I like the bike's stock look, I have always been pretty crazy about customizing. But this is my first cruiser and don't know just what all I can do. Here is what I have done in the past two weeks: installed rear tire, replaced front brakes with high friction pads, replaced stock mirror with black buell mirrors, added throttle rocker (I really makes a long ride worth having), removed stock front blinkers.

After riding a couple of longish rides I noticed I will have to change my handlebars. I am 5'8 but I guess my arms are short or something because I find myself leaned over the tank and with forward controls it's he** on my back. I think a new handlebar that allows a 10 inch closer grip will make my M50 more enjoyable.

Has anyone removed all the plastic body pieces for any sort of custom look or to paint them? Just wondering what the bike looks completely naked.. I might try this.

All you with modified rear fenders please post here. I think I will end up chopping up the rear for a really custom look. Just wondering what everyone is doing and what parts fit and have been used. Thanks again, MF
