Default sissy bar

i saw on a television show a while back that a sissy bar was out that the back rest was removeable but the mounting bracket was still attached to the bike.does anyone have this backrest? if so where was it purchased? or does anyone know what site i can find it at? i've looked and looked but cant find it anywhere.the lonestar bike rally is around the corner and i would rather have that backrest rather then a regular one.

Was it for Harleys? I've seen a bunch of those, you can get a quick-release anything for a Harley. Never seen one for a M50 though. Not that the design would be particularly tough, just that nobody has made one.

How would that look though? Wouldn't you end up with the two mounts sticking up in the air with no backrest attached to them? If thats all you want to do, you could just change the type of mounting screws you use to hold the backrest to the mounts. Just get some wing nuts or something like that that you could put it on and off easily.

Are you talking about the driver's or passenger's backrest?

I have seen the driver's backrest that was removable on e-bay a little while back but I coulden't find it again.

There are other options like a mustang seat that has the removable drivers backrest---those you can find on most aftermarket sites.
