Question Stock turn signal's w\LED's (faster blink?)

Hey all--Quick question. I ordered the Custom LED integrated taillight more for the fact that it's brighter than stock, not so much for the turn signals.

I was wondering if I left my stock signals in place and wired the LED's from the integrated taillight would that make my stock lights blink faster or would they blink at the same rate?

From what I understand the more resistance in the circuit the slower the blink rate. So if you left your stockers on and wired the integrated kit off of it the blink rate may be slower than normal. I'm not an expert, that's just what I think is going on.

Since LED's have a much lower resistance than filament bulbs, that's why they sell the resistor kits to modify blink rate.

if you keep the 4 current signals, and add the led's, the blink rate isn't going to move much at all.

If you cut out the rear signals, and keep the front 2, and the led's, it'll blink a little faster.

If you were to remove the rear signals all together, they blink a ton faster. But you are tlaking about leaving all 4 stock signals in and wiring the integrated taillight in. This shouldn't affect your blinkers rate of flash at all as you are only adding a very small resistance inline...It should not be noticable at all.

Yeah I want to leave all 4 blinkers--I just got the clear alternative lenses for them so it would be a waste to get rid of them--besides here in NYC you need all the light you can get!!!! Too many people with blinders on in their giant SUV's---LOL

Thanks for the info everyone.

I guess I don't understand the purpose of picking up the integrater if you're not going to in fact, integrate the signals.

You got a point there digi.. all I realy wanted was the brighter taillight but they dont just have that you have to get the integrated taillight.

so I figured why not just add the turn LED's to my stock ones for more visibility.

all this started because suzuki had to go and make the taillight soo dim you cant see it in the daytime!!!
