Default Removing The Front Wheel

Does anyone know the size of the Hex Head that takes the front axel out ???

The largest one I have is 10mm and it is like sticking a toothpick in a 1/2" water pipe.

Thanks

Smurf

Hey Ranger, thanks bud.

Borrowed a 12 from a neighbor and it fits perfect.

Now I have to buy one. Every time I borrow a tool, I buy one just like it. That way I will never have to borrow one again.

doesn't the tool kit come with a 12? I could have sworn I used the one from my kit to take my front wheel off.

Glad to help, but i think digitalbroccoli has a point, check your tool kit on the bike and see if it has one, he might be right

DOH !!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, My Bad.............

I never use that thing (tool bag) because I have a Craftsman three level tool box full of tools (up to and including a full set of 3/8" drive hex sockets that go to 10mm), heck..........I prolly have as much in tools as I do the bike.

i'm like you smurf. i have oooodles of tools. if you have a harbor freight down your way, they have an inexpensive set of 3/8" drive hex sockets that have any and everything you need for the bike and it comes with a nice metal socket holder.

same thing here, lots of tools, but when working on the bike i try to mostly use the tools they provide, that way if something happens on the road i may be able to fix it on the road with the tools provided rather than guessing what i have and if it will work

Ranger's got a point. I always remember to keep a mental inventory of what's in there, for roadside occasions.
