Rear end is most like the Soft Tail Standard:

I'm not aware of an H-D with inverted front forks.

As for engine size, the 883 Sportster.

i've spoken to a few passers-by (usually at a coffee shop - tim hortons) and a lot of the un-initiated say things like "that's a nice harley" and stuff like that.

probably why i've kept the badges on. i like that it's not a harley. i'm probably one of the few that has not de-badged

heh, if i had a harley, i'd probably de-badge it

Cross between a Softail Custom and Night Train (both in the Softail family).

I have had alot of people ask me "why did you debadge ur harley?" and stuff lol. I love telling them "this ain't a harley." Then leaving them in the dust when the light turns green lol. I do like the debadged look though, it makes it look alot more smooth.

I don't see that, either. The M109 is much more "V-Rod-ish" than the M50:

I get fatboy/softail most days.

I've always debadged everything. When I finally pull the trigger on the Vrod, that'll have no badges either.

Said it before and I'll say it again, if you mistake a suzuki for a harley then you don't know what your talking about...ha.

Radiator and shaft drive should give that away in a heart beat.

I was looking at the new Harley's and thought the Fat Bob might have been similiar but another pic. from the front and I seen the twin headlights. Wow, that's a nice looking bike. Fuel Injected, 6 speed, 1584 cc, Carbon Fiber drive belt. Hmmmm.

Check out the Rocker C model.

hmmm I hear harley is going to go water cooled so the radiator will soon be on them..

guess it's all evolution when you build a bike water cooled such as Suzuki does they last a bit longer than the harleys now harley has to get back on the wagon..

I've heard the same, but I doubt it will be on all the models.

I will admit that some metric cruisers took their styling from some HD bikes, but the M50 is a power cruiser design(with less of the power, but a great designt). HD, or HD owners can't say that about power cruisers, nor can they take credit for the original power cruisers. I attribute that to Yamaha with the original V-Max, which it's original inception was way ahead of it's time. The Vrod, if anything is a copy of metric power cruisers. I think the M50 is one of the best looking bikes out there, and it's more passenger friendly then other power cruisers, which is the main reason I went with it over other bikes of this styling. I would love to see Suzuki come out with a larger engine in the exact design of the m50

I see i am not the only one to keep her tagged, still have all badges on mine and like the way it looks, to debadge her makes it look, well empty and i dont really like it, just my opinion though
Havnt had anybody mistake my bike for a harley yet, but have had many compliments and many people ask which bike suzuki had that had an 1800cc bike, not many people look at this and think its only 800cc

I don't know. some people re-do their cars and take off the badges on the back.

I know it's for the overall 'clean' look. i guess i'm not clean

then again, i see a lot of people around here who love to put huge badges on their windshield and back window (mostly civics)

I have had people look at my badges and say "Hmmmm Harley M-50 huh?"

Here's your sign.....
