Default PCIII usb and lambda(o2)sensor

Hi Everyone.

I have been unable to find any information about how to circumvent the lambda sensor on my m800 (m50) K7, that is, if it is necessary.

I found a post which mentions an o2-eliminator but i can't find one on the PC homepage for the M50.

Anybody??

Thanks in advance.

MGM

Hi MGM,
You need to disable the O2 sensor for the PC3 to work efficiently.
I have attached the how to from Dynojet.
Hope this helps.
Jeff.

Thanks a lot upnorthbiker.

Do you happen to know if this pin is related only to the lambda or if it will prevent the FI lamp altogether??

Thanks again

I think its only for the lamda sensor, any othe FI error will still be displayed.
Jeff.

Thanks again upnorthbiker.

I installed the PCIII today and fixed the sensor according to the howto you posted, it took about 1½ hours.
I took it for a testrun and everything seems to be good, it's a bit more responsive (everything but the PC is still stock) and I swear it sounds different somehow (better).
Now I'm debating whether to get the cruzers or start out drilling the stockpipes, thoughts?
I'm also thinking about doing the washer-mod to the aircleaner.

Hi MGM,
PLeased you got it sorted and installed, Did you get it mapped on a Dyno or just use a downloaded map.
I started the same way as you, PC3 and no other mods, the bike ran great, very smooth with no low end surging.
Since then I installed Jardine slashcuts (similar to the cruzers) but I personally found them very loud when on the gas.
I fitted 4 inch baffles and had an engineer shop install a balance pipe between the frontpipes, and now they sound great with plenty power.
Instead of the washer mod to the aircleaner, I bought a C50 aircleaner housing from a member in USA ( I think it cost about £25 inc. shipping) and installed a K & N filter. Custom map and everything is great.
Regards,
Jeff.

Thanks for the hints.

I'm just using the standardmap for now, but i might get a custom one when I'm done with intake and pipemods.

I thought about the washermod, as apparantly the bottleneck for the intake is not the filter itself, but the aircleaner box (e.g. the hole is too small).
Is there a bigger hole in the C50 box??

Regards

Its not been a good summer here in Northern England.

The weather has been horrid here as well, but it seems we're in for a bit of summer starting today. (it was 27C today and clear skies)
Of course I'm starting work tomorrow and it's supposed to be hotter than hell for the next couple of days
