|  oil indicator question..uh-oh
Hello all, I have a question on the self test sequence that the M50 goes through on the speedo on start up. Th reason is that I changed the oil and did not realize that the old o-ring did not come off the emgine when the filter was removed. Therefore when the new filter was twisted on a good seal was not made. Lo and behold there was a serious pumping of oil out that seal when the bike was started. I only rode the bike for about 100 yards till I noticed and heard the leak. I also saw the idiot light and the word check on the speedo along with the oil can icon. I shut her down and pushed her home. I replaced the filter again with a new one and added oil. The question is...Does the word check stay on along with the oil icon when you turn on your key or upon shut down? Ray |
