Default Hi, new guy, pics, photochop req.

Hi all. I bought my 07 M50 about a month ago after reading up on alot. I browse this forum daily and I love it. This is my 4th bike now, my last being an 05 gsx-r.
My mods so far are;
De-badged
Smoked tail light
Custom LED rear turn signals
Drag bars
3" drop
Custom made side mount plate
De-baffled pipes
Air box mod
Bar end mirror

75% of these "mods" were done with less than 4 miles on the bike. I hate stock, lol. The bike now has 400 miles on it. I don't get much time to ride.
Here are some pics, and I was wondering if someone could photoshop my exhaust pipes black. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Schweet! Where'd you get the rear tail-light? I'd like to clean up my backside too. I saw some black Cobra Straightshots on a black M at a local shop, it looked cool.

Nice ride.

Thanks for the compliment. I used VHT night shades spray tint on the tail light. Its black when the bike is off, and when the tail light is on, its still about 95% transparent. I used about 3 coats of the tint, then about 6-7 coats of clear.

You really should install a fuel processor like the PCIII or Cobra. I have the Techlusion TFi and it works great. You are running the risk of hurting the motor with the even more lean condition you now have w/ the airbox mod. Just my .02

Here's a hasty job. I wasn't sure if you meant glossy or flat. I can see that I need to write up a how-to for photographing motorcycles. I'm so sick of seeing POS cars and junky garages as backgrounds for nice bikes!

your bike looks great. Would like to know where you found the drag bars you have on it? I have been looking around for something like that. Thanks and have a good one.

I got the drag bars off debrixcycles.com they are 32" long with 18 degree pullback, and a 9" center section if i recall correctly. They were like 25$. Thanks for the compliment!

Thanks for the welcome! The change from the gixxer was HUGE. I didnt hit the twisties too much anymore, i wasnt into stunting, and I found myself crusing on the gixxer more than leaning it. So i decided it was time for a crusier. I miss the power, deffinatly, and the braking. But all in all, it was time for a crusier, and so far im happy.

I have gotten a few PMs about my drag bars. Here is the link to where you can get them:

hey Stealth,

How much work was it to replace the handle bars? I love the look of the drag bars. Did you have to replace any cables or anything else besides the bars? How far is the reach now, is it significantly further?

Also how did you get the left grip off the bar? Wasn't it glued on?

Thanks,

Great job on the mods, makes me almost wish I got the black instead

All the info you need is posted in the link above the post you made. As far as the left grip, it just took alot of muscle and a little lubrication.

Here is all the "how to" you will ever need.

By the way. The bike and the mods look great. I like the drag bars most.

Hi, this thread is kind of old. But I put on the handlebars that stealthMfiddy has on his bike and the right throttle cables are touching the tank. Has anyone had this problem?

There are 2 metal pieces that are located under the piece that has the starter.

It looks like they are missing in the stealthMfiddy pictures. How can I take them off, or maybe relocate them so they won't touch the tank??

Thanks

hmm...I wasn't going to revive this thread until I had installed the bars this coming week. (Mine shoudl be here Monday)

Do you mean the 2 little "elbow" looking pieces? (I don't have my bike in front of me)

yeah. The problem with this drag bar is that it is very close to the tank about
-------
bar
-------
^
| pretty much this close
-------
tank

About that close.

The left side just barely fits without touching, but the right side has those 2 little elbows that touch the tank. If I angle the bars higher, its not comfortable, and if i move the actual assembly, then I have to almost spin it 90 degrees, so it looks funny.

I noticed that the 06 models have the elbows at the bottom, but the 07 models have the elbows coming out of the back of the switch, so this is not a problem with the 07 models.

I found these for about $70 and I might get these to solve my problem:
https://www.meancycles.com/Home.asp?...er&CompanyID=0

Its cheaper then buying the OEM parts for the 07 M50.

I don't think it should be too hard to switch these out.
