Thumper- you had to do Army Basic after doing Marine Corps Boot Camp?? How long a break in service did you have?? We just got a PV2 in my unit who did a few years active Army about 20 years ago- he's 47 now! (Also an 11B, but reclassing to 88M- truck driver) He didn't have to redo Basic...

I'm NYARNG as well- almost 10yrs as a 63B out of Latham (not bad being Motors in an AV unit!), the last 5+ on FTNGD-CD. Do you drill out of Morrisonville (2/108 IN)?

Both my father and I have the same combat patch. He got his 20 years before I did.

On this Memorial Day, I want to salute all those that have served.

Been in over 10 years now, love every minute of it. I am a Crewchief on C-5's in the Air Force. This is a picture taken of me this week sitting on a APC while we were flying over (out of)Iraq. Remember all those away from their familes this weekend, and pray for their safety. ride safe...

Wow, I had no idea so many of us were associated with the military!

I've been working for the AF's operational test agency at Kirtland AFB New Mexico as a federal civil servant (GS) for over 6 years now. I met my wife at work; she's an active duty O3.

My dad is now a retired AF O6. So I grew up all over the world: Born at Maxwell AFB, 7 years in Europe, 3 years in Japan, and a decade in the national capital region.
