|  chipped tank and rusting.
my tank has chipped paint in one spot on top. im talking alittle bit bigger than a pen tip. brown rust is forming. how can i get the rust out without scratching the paint or ruining the paint with a rust remover solvent? every rust remover solvent i have read has acid in it. or does sombody know of a good rust remover i can use. im thinking acid might be bad for existing paint around the rust. I was thinking of just coating over the rust like it is, with a color match paint or clear coat. theory behind this is to just seal over it to prevent air and humidty from getting to it so it cant spread. what do you think. help would be appriciated. thanks.
