Default M50 Oil Filter Problem

Tonight I was doing routine oil & Filter change and had a problem with the filter. When taking it off with the filter wrench cap when torque was applied it slipped right off.

I tried a couple tricks one putting a bar between the frame prying against ratchet applying leverage to prevent it from slipping. Second wrapped some duct tape around the filter and tapped the filter wrench on to try to get a better grip. Third a belt wrench which did nothing but slip. Finally I called my neighbor and had him bring some channel locks over that were large enough and that took care of it with no problem.

What a pain in the arse though, what could have caused the filter to deform to the point the wrench couldn’t get a bite? It's not the wrench, the new filter went on just fine and when the old one was installed it wasn’t stripped when put on.

On a entertaining note,

While we were picking up the tools, the drunk chick a couple doors down was mowing the in thin white shorts with nothing else on underneath. Walking past we were checking out the goods. Were looking, the toe's showing, then all the sudden she pisses herself mowing the lawn...

What a world…………
