Default Saddleman profiler seat for M50

Does anyone have the Saddleman profiler seat on an M50? I was wondering if they got pics or what it actually looks like on the bike?

Mine will be here on the 10th, with a full write up once it arrives.

I think there's a third guy who's got one coming too, but I can't remember who.

Here it is. It was a bit harder to put under the tank than I expected. I had to push it down while putting the bolt in to close the gap between the tank. I do like the way it sits you in the seat and the feel of more lower back support. It sits you back in the seat where as the stock seat made me feel like I was getting a bit too intimate with the tank

What's your thoughts on quality...sturdy/well built or need replaced in a few years?

is it hard, cushy?

once your able to ride for an extended time, definately let us know if there's any issue's/sticking points.

Seems well built. The saddlehyde is riveted to the seat which I think will keep it from ripping as easily. The seat is made of fiberglass which I think will hold up nicely. MUCH better quality than the stock seat. It feels a bit hard just by sitting on it, but I expect it to break in. I plan on doing a couple hundred miles this weekend so I will let you know my thoughts..

So far I went on a 100 mile trip with the seat and hope it gets better. Don't get me wrong it is a good looking seat that gives you a much more comfortable seat position and you don't slide on it like the stock seat, but the gel is very hard. They say the gel gets softer the more you ride, so I hope this is the case. My tailbone started to bother me towards the end of the trip which is an improvement over stock. I just hope it gets better, because it is hard to justify the money to the point I would have probably stuck with my stock seat and modified it.

well frizzy, you've got me from okay, to excited, to back to okay again. Mine will arrive tuesday, same seat but I went leather, and I'll post some impressions then. I'm planning about 200 miles the day after it gets here, so now I'm a little worried....

I love the look that the seat gives the bike and I've been looking for a seat with the back support since the stock seat has none. I hope it gets better for you frizzy. Thanks for the post.

I don't ride 2up, so not sure how it would be. If anything the passenger would need a backrest. I really like everything about the seat except for the comfort which is better than stock. I have read many reviews on the seat and everyone agrees that the gel will soften, so I expect it to get better. The seat gives you such a nice seating position and you really stick to the seat which I like. It also feels like you have a small backrest which is always a plus. I figure it sits me about 3" lower in the seat which also makes my windshield a much better height as well. The look of the seat is worth it to me, but I do hope it gets a bit softer.. My wife says I don't have enough a$$ to pad and that is why my tailbone gets sore. Maybe she's right.

You got one of those flat back sides too eh?

Well I do hope that the seat loosens up for ya after owning/riding for a while.......it certainly sounds like all else has fallin' into place.

I'll keep an eye out to see your posts on it down the road, cause I'm certainly still interested enough to keep this particular seat in mind.

THANKS again for another update.
