Default Saddlemen Explorer Gel Seat for the M50: Got it TODAY?!

I received the new saddlemen explorer seat. I will try to road test it tomorrow. So far, the seat seems very hard. I hope it will soften up a bit. The passenger seat is much bigger compared to stock.

I will try to update you with more information by this weekend.

Default Rode about 100 miles this morning! 2up

This seat is an improvement over stock for the passenger. Much wider for the passenger. I guess this will make the wife happier. Little improvement for the driver. It does seem to absorb bumps better than stock. The instructions state the seat will break in over time to provide greater comfort. The seat does have a better back support for the driver.

I believe I would sell the seat.

Corbin was the only way to go for me! Living in the heart of the Sunshine State, the Saddleman Gel seat would ROAST the
BOYS
Seat is firm but comfortable and has been on for about 1000 miles.
There is NO pain even on 200 mile rides.

How easy was it to install the explorer? Also do you have any pictures?

Thanks again.

Default Explorer Seat Installation Very Simple

The installation was actually very simple. I removed the one bolt on the passenger seat (rear). Removed two bolts from the front of the passenger seat. Both seats slide right off. The new seat went on by only installing the one rear bolt.

I went with the Corbin mainly b/c I didn't want to wait a month for the back order on the saddlemen. I like the Corbin more and more everyday. It does push you a little farther up on the bike but overall not to bad. Next step is Johnskits forward controls.
