Default I hate waiting!!

So I ordered my Corbin Dual Tour seat on June 6th from Oneida Suzuki. I just got the shipping conformation yesterday. I didn't realize it would take 5 business days to ship out the seat. It took almost a week if you include the weekend. They say 1-3 days to process the order not a week. So now I have to wait till the 19th for it to arrive.

I miss the days where people ship stuff out the same day. I figured that if I ordered on a Wed that I would get it somtime the next week. I guess I am only complaining b/c I really wanted it for this up coming weekend. Sorry for the rant. I will get off my soap box now.

Don't worry I will post pics and a write up after I get it on and put some miles on it.

I bought one from them as well. I ordered it on a friday and it shipped Monday. Then three days from NY to FL.
Their prices are low BUT if you want it quick, you pay their quicker shipping rates.
I needed a clutch cable and no one within 250 miles of me(orlando, FL) had one. I paid $30 for the cable and like 40 for 2 day shipping. 2 day shipping costs about $12 for a 1 lb package. You get what you pay for and considering local dealers if they had it were $60+ sales tax and 1 week before I could pick it up, I went with this option.
you really have to search for best price and service.
Ride Safe!
BTW the seat is awesomely comfortable..!

I got mine on. I was a little surprised how stiff it was. It does push you forward a little bit but in a comfortable way. I have only put around 30 miles on it so far do to weather but I do like it. I am now looking at Johnskits to put the forward controls on. The girl loves it too. I will do more of a write up next week after I get a few hundred miles on her.

Seat is VERY hard and stiff! BUT after 4 weeks and about 1000 miles, I am very happy. It actually takes quite a while to break it in. One of the guys I ride with has a corbin dual tour on a 1997 BMW 1100 and he says it is just about to where he likes it! No more sore butt! very comfortable position.
Check the rear bolt that holds down the dual tour as it will loosen up if you dont loc-tite it.
Ride Safe

Talking Got it on!

Yeah I'm trying to use the "pun".

So I ordered from the Oneida site on wed. paid the extra 40.00 and got the three days shipping. picked it up Friday night. Took about twenty minutes to figure out that you have to extend the passenger mounting tab allll the way out. then it was a matter of minutes and I was riding.

First impression was...

STIFF and perfect fitting! I've been feeling lately that the M has a cheap feel to it. almost like it had poor comfort quality for riding all day around town. Now I'm convinced that it's all in the seat. (actually feels like a different bike now)

the stiff feeling DOESN"T go away.
I was worried about that at first. After today's 100 mile ride I am very pleased with the hard ergonomic seat. the fact that it is so stiff means that when you start the ride it feels EXACTLY the same at the end. so no soreness, little fatigue, and no more "bar with foam on it" cheap seat.

I actually was inspired to go out and get new front and passenger pegs and will probably end up with the john's forward kit.

The wife was very impressed as well. she is as happy as I am with the passenger end.

I would definitely recommend this to everyone. I don't know about the saddlemen gel. but i do know that I'm happy i went with the corbin.

piece

I can take it! I am a big boy! go ahead and italicize this one!
I rode about 150 miles this am and felt no need to get off the bike to stretch
and work out the kinks. Seat is super comfy and does make large difference in the ergonomics of bike. My wife likes the rear seat and says it is way better than stock. It also feels like bike is about 1.5 inches lower than stock.
Regarding the back bracket I twisted and turned until I figured out the same thing that it had to be extended to maximum length.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend riding.
Marc
