Default storage bag question

I have the sissybar w/luggage rack now. I am looking to get a bag to go on the back of the bike that I can store things in for those longer rides. Anybody have any suggestions? I have searched but can't really find anything. I don't want to go the saddle bag route. Thanks!!

I just got back from a 1200 mile trip. I shipped any thing that I needed by UPS and it was at the hotel waiting for me when I got there. I did the same for the trip home.

I use a t-bag. It has a sleeve that slips over the sissy bar and has tie down straps to hold it down. You can get the all over I got mine on ebay.

I found a nice sissybar bag at a local mom and pop motorcycle parts shop. I think its a "Carroll leather" company product. I use it everytime I ride to work, and when I don't need it I can take off the bike in seconds. The bag is big enough to hold my fullface helmet and jacket. I was able to get it for about $120, and so far, not a bad word to say about it. Hope this helps.

Kuryakyn UltraTour Bag is Huge! It pops on and off in seconds
It can face forward and also supply support for your back or can face rearwards so you can ride 2 up. Not the greastest looking bag in the world BUT it is large
well made and easy to use.
I bought mine at
Bikerhaven.Net KURYAKYN ULTRATOUR BAG
for $109.95.. Shipping is ONLY $5....
Hope that helps

made my own rack mounts for $10.
bought bag and rack on ebay.
Brand is Ventura - 56litres capacity, and its waterproof.

So far has lasted 6500 kms.
back comes off, rack comes off, bag can be reversed if you have a pillion.

Best thing I ever did.

Mine is a tail bag by Tour Master. It comes with built-in bungie cords, some reflective stitching and emblems, a rain cover, and a carry strap. There's 1 main compartment that's big enough for my 3/4 helmet. 1 compartment on each end - each big enough for (tightly!) rolled up rain gear, one small compartment in the back, big enough for some extra tools and other bits and pieces. The main compartment closure flap has some pockets for wallet, pens, and the like. There's also a very small (card-sized) net pocket on the outside that I've found to be completely useless.

The bungie net you see on top isn't to hold down the bag, it's to hold down my laptop bag on the back rack for my commute to work everyday. I just clip the net up over the tail bag when I'm not using it to hold down the laptop bag.

I use the medium sized expandable Tahoe from T-Bag, and I'm very happy with it. The Tour Master and Kuryakyn are excellent choices also. I've been impressed with the customer service from T-Bag, which is important to me.

I like to use the Grandtour Bag 4141 from Kuryakyn on Shelia.
Able to be made adjustable by placing padding inside the pillion pouch. If you have a passenger the bag is turned around and placed over the pillion. Using the included straps chris-crossed, keeps it steady. Also has an adjustable 2 piece pad that goes under the passenger seat wi Pretty comfy so far have not had problem with M50 butt with 37 mile work commute and 200 mile trips.

Yes that is snowin background. Some days for commute (41 degrees F.) use chaps and leather jacket with liners. Yet later on ride home store in bag...
