Default Canadian Cold, I want to ride!

Brothers and sisters in the US and Canada. I am wanting ride my bike, but the weather has been holding around -3 C. The sun was out today and I thought, I would brave it, but when I got outside, I said no way.

I just purchased my M and the only ride I had was the ride home from the dealer. I know warmer weather is coming, but it is hard to wait eh. ya know!

Just venting and feeling jealous of our southern friends who are riding already.

Any Canadians braving it yet?

Friday the 13th at Dover is coming up, but if it stays like this, I will wait for the next one.

I don't know what's worse...not being able to ride due to weather, or seeing nothing but gorgeous riding weather for weeks, and still not being able to ride. A few more weeks and my hand should be good, but it's driving me nuts to see all this riding weather going to waste.

So I finally installed the integrated LED taillight today... a few more things to do on the bike, then waiting for the seat to get back from being tweaked, and I'll be all set!

worse is seeing the weather but not being able to actually ride it, cuz everyone else IS riding!!! muahaha!!! second worst is itching to ride, but it being below freezing even though the roads are dry and the sun is out. frozen fingertips do not a fun ride make.

I've been out 3 times so far in the past 2 weeks. The forecast tells me it will be at least a week before I can get out again.

It's supposed to be pleasure, not a test of endurance, so I'll wait until it gets near
10°C.

I do have a heated vest, heated gloves & Cobra bars with Sagebrush chaps on.

Here on the Balmy West Coast, I have managed to put on around 2,000 kms between Rain and Windstorms. Thats the last 4 weeks, I was only out twice in Feb.

Last year I took the bike out of storage on Feb. 3 and had twice as many klicks by end of March.

The forecast for the next week is Rain again!!!

I was at the Dealer last Thursday, the service dept. was run off their feet as everybody wanted their bike serviced now.
The showroom had about 12 new bikes with sold signs on them.

So Spring is coming!!!

I live in Calgary, Alberta where they say "If Ya don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes, it'll change", and how true that saying is on most days. I've had many days throughout the winter months (including riding on days like Xmas & New Years day) where I was able to go for a quick couple hour mid afternoon ride. After say 5 pm the temp sometimes drops and the roads freeze up for the night only to warm up to sometimes +10 or more by noon the next day! On the other extreme I've had to pull over for cover under a highway overpass due to some nasty "Hail Storms" in the middle of months such as July & August!

Either way, any rides you get are usually great ones no matter where you may live right?

Ride Safe.

So I could not wait any longer, it's -2 C here, but I could not polish my bike any longer without a ride.
I went out for a short ride around the hood.
I nearly froze my thumbs, but it was nice.
I can see the need for heated grips now. My body and legs were ok, but my thumbs were cold.
Anyway, good times, eh!
Warmer weather is coming
Burnt, er at least not yet

Sorry to rub it in, but weather here today is a balmy 27 deg C, thats abiout 82 F.

The whole weekend has been this temp, with no wind, no clouds, and just perfect to farewell summer (autumn here now)

Oh well, suppose I will be forced to don the helmet and test the twisties one mo re time!

Nice C50, I like the light bar, looks good on that bike. Also I like the rear carry rack in your first pic. Where did you pick that up?
